Chapter 2
A new beginning.
It was time to start getting ready for school.
The trio had done all their shopping and it was time to relocate to the city where the school is situated.
Maya’s father accompanied her to the train station.
She smiled and waved at her father as she walked into the train.
She was still waving while the train was moving.
Maya’s father walked back home in tears. He imagined his life without Maya.
Maya on the other hand was sad, her father is the only person that has really cared for her.
She left Belinda and Richard behind. They weren’t ready yet. They told her “ they would resume after one week”.
Maya misses her village, father and friends so much that she can’t wait to see them.
“The city is so beautiful”, she exclaimed.
There were a lot of tall buildings, cars and nice houses.
Maya got off the train and took a bus to her school.
Maya took a cab to school.
She got to Clouds University, Scotland.
“ wow” she exclaimed.
“ This is a work of art and a beauty to behold” she muttered.
Maya carried her luggage and walked down the hallway.
A guy ran towards her and helped her with her bags.
I’m Livewell “ he said”
I’m Maya “ she retorted “
“Nice meeting you”, the both said”
Maya went straight to her room. It was on the 8th floor in the girl’s hostel.
She tried to clean up as the place was covered with dust and later she started putting her stuff in order.
Maya called her father, she told him “ she had gotten to school”.
She was having mixed feelings.
She was sad and happy at the same time.
Maya is about to fulfill her dream of becoming a medical Doctor. She loves to care for people, especially aged people and children.
Her dream was based on her experience in her everyday life. Maya noticed that most people above 60 were abandoned in their home with no attention from their family members. It became her dream to become a Doctor and to own her hospital while caring for sick aged people alongside others.
It was also her dream to see her father become the leader of their community as he had done so much for the people.
Maya was preparing for class that Morning when her roommate came in.” I’m Cynthia Peb “ she said.
“I’m Maya” she retorted.
Nice to meet you.
Maya helped her move in and went straight to class.
Livewell on the other hand looks forward to meeting Maya again.
He had fallen in love with her. Maya is a beautiful lady “ he said”.
“Good Morning Professor”, the students said.
I’m professor Grey, your Anatomy teacher, “ he said”.
Professor Grey asked the students to introduce themselves. They did as he said.
Classes ended for that day.
Maya walked into the library to study.
“ grrrrrrrrrrrri” her phone rang.
It was Belinda calling her to tell her she had gotten to school with Richard.
Maya happily ran out to meet them at the gate.
She hugged Richard and Belinda.
She assisted with their luggage and walked Belinda to her room.
She asked about her father and Belinda said “ he was doing just fine.”
Belinda cleaned up the dust in her room and arranged her stuff.
The trio went out for dinner that Evening.
Livewell happened to be at the cafeteria, he walked up to Maya and said “ hello” to her.
Maya introduced Richard and Belinda to Livewell.
They exchanged pleasantries and then ate their dinner afterwards.
Belinda couldn’t get her eyes of Livewell. She felt some butterflies in her belly.
It was time to go to bed.
Belinda’s room is on the 12th floor.
They walked back to their various rooms.
Richard got to class the next day and Livewell walked up to him to say “hello “.
They were both in political science class.
Classes ended.
Richard and Livewell went for break together.
They saw Maya and Belinda and they sat facing one another.
They talked and laughed at the same time.
Break was over and everyone went their way.
After classes that day, Maya went to the library to study.
Livewell has started studying in the library too just to steal a glance at Maya.
Maya and Livewell were becoming more like friends.
They now call each other and they have started talking about themselves.
Livewell asked Maya to go on a date with him, Maya declined on ground that it was too early to start seeing a man and she doesn’t want to derail from her purpose.
Chadwick on the other hand was in the military school.
He is really having fun learning how to shoot with guns and fist fights.
Chadwick lifts weights everyday so as as to build his muscles and abs.
Chadwick is tall and handsome.
He has never forgotten about Maya. He can’t wait to be done with military school so that he can go look for Naya and marry her.
Chadwick has to spend five years in his military school.
Chadwick made a lot of friends, female inclusive.
Everyone loves him because of his cute face and kind heart.
Chadwick called his brother Livewell that Afternoon to check up on him and know how he is faring in his new school.
Livewell was so happy to hear from him. He even told him about Maya, unknown to Chadwick, his brother was talking about the love of his life.
Richard and Livewell became extremely close friends.
The duo were seen together by all.
Maya and Belinda still maintained their friendship.
Belinda is studying food technology.
She is passionate about what people should and shouldn’t eat.
Belinda’s drive is to ensure that people eat organic foods and not processed food.
She is so passionate about cooking.
Belinda is the Centre of attraction in her class. Everyone wants to be her friend.
She is tall, light skinned, beautiful and has good fashion taste.
Belinda is proud and bossy. Maya understands her so well and they have been friends from childhood, so she doesn’t see Belinda’s fault rather she has chosen to put up with them.
Despite Belinda’s flaws, every guy wants her and ladies wants to associate with her.
Belinda is also very smart and intelligent.
Maya agreed to go on a date with Livewell.
Maya and Livewell left school that Evening, took a cab to a very nice restaurant where they had dinner.
“Have you dated before?” Livewell asked.
Maya said “ no” beaming a smile.
Livewell told Maya how much he loves her and wants her to be his girlfriend.
Maya declined and Livewell walked out angrily leaving her at the restaurant.
Maya was surprised and saw Livewell as a red flag.
Livewell saw Maya the next day and apologized to her.
While Livewell may be a sweet person, he is bad tempered and can destroy when he is angry. But he is very good at portraying himself as a sweet person.
Maya told Belinda all that transpired between her and Livewell. Belinda sympathized and supported her decision, but deep down in her heart, she was so happy she rejected him.
Belinda wants Livewell and she is so obsessed with him.
Later that Evening, Belinda saw Livewell and asked him why he displayed such ill mannered behavior towards Maya while on their date.
Livewell apologized to Belinda for treating her friend that way and also pleaded with Belinda to talk to Maya on his behalf.
She nodded her head In affirmation.
Belinda walked away and went straight to her room fuming in anger.
She didn’t bother to say a word to Maya about her meeting with Livewell.
Kylie is Belinda’s roommate and they have become friends.
Belinda told Kylie about how much she loves Livewell and that Livewell is interested in her friend, Maya.
Kylie told her not to worry that Livewell will become hers soon.
