Chapter 14: Fae Kingdom

Phillis POV cont.

Carmen sent one of the servants out to gather the herbs that I needed. While we waited, I went into more detail about the attack and how dark magic is at play. I can see they are extremely worried they just lost a child to black magic and are at risk of losing their grandkids too. Carmen tells me she will see if she can visit the in-between to talk to her mother to gain some insight. I explained to her that her mother had come to see me in a dream and had told me about the attack so I could help. She also explained to me that she would be unlocking one of Tiny’s gifts, but I am not sure which one it will be.

“We have to start Tiny’s training earlier than expected, I wanted to wait until after her birthday, but it seems that we do not have the luxury anymore,” I told Carmen.

“I agree,” I will get some things in order here and will come to your kingdom in the morning so we can start the first couple of weeks of her training up until her birthday, and then after we can move the training to my kingdom.

“I agree that it will be harder for anyone to find Tiny if we come here after her birthday since the Fae kingdom is in another realm,” I said.

“I will be joining Carmen the following day after she gets there so I can help Charlie train the boys,” said Jacob.

“Wait who will watch over the kingdom?” I asked.

“I can have the twins come back from training early,” Jacob said.

“The twins, oh my, I haven’t seen them seen them since babies. Where are they?” I asked.

“They are with Victor training,” Jacob tells me.

“Will I know they will be happy to get a break for the next couple of weeks? Victor's training is on a whole other level. Maybe he will consider training the boys?” I asked.

“I can ask him, but you know how he is as soon as I tell him the kids were attacked, he will be on the next thing smoking with Melody right on his tail, you no one messes with their princess and lies to talk about,” Jacob says.

“That is true, Victor and Melody Tiny’s godparents, “I say.

“It also doesn’t help that out of all of our kid's friends, Tiny is the only girl out of a sea of boys, so you know they all dault on her,” Carmen said.

“Well, hopefully, it won’t stay that way for long, you know my nephew and his lovely mate are expecting again!”

“Figured that was the case when Rainy asked me to make her a patch of my soothing tea. How is Atticus taking this? He has been the only child for so long, I asked.

“He is happy to get a new sibling, and you know Trey is happy to have another grand pup,” Carmen tells me.

“How is Trey? I know he took the death of Ajara the hardest.” I asked.

“He is much better. The birth of Atticus brought him out of his funk,” Jacob said.

“You know his mother has been trying to come around,” Carmen tells me.

“You have got to be kidding me. What the hell does she want after all these years?” I asked.

“I have no idea, but I think it has to do with Atticus taking over the throne soon. She probably wants to try to mate him with that sleazy chosen mate's niece!” Carmen tells me.

“Just say the word, and I will take those sorry SOB’s out,” I tell her.

“They are not worth it. Trey won’t give them the time or day. She has been dead to him since she walked out of his life,” Carmen tells me.

Trey is Carmen’s stepbrother. Her mother was Trey’s father's second chance mate before she ascended to the heavens to take over her role as the current goddess. Trey’s mother was a power-hungry evil person who left and decided to take a chosen mate. She thought Trais (Trey’s father) was wolfless since he did not shift at the age of 18. She ran away with a lord from a different kingdom when Trey was still a baby. Travis ended up shifting at 21 into a powerful Lycan. The goddess saw this and thought he would be a good, strong fit for her daughter since she would need a strong protector till she was able to take over her role of goddess. I bet now she is regretting all of it. The mate she didn’t want ended up being one of the strongest shifters there is, and the son she threw away ended up becoming king of all shifters. Welp, it sucks to be her.

“I just got off the phone with Victor. He and the twins will be traveling here in the morning. Melody will stay and watch over the kingdom till Uncle Ramon and Dad come back to town,” Jacob tells us.

“Ok I will get everyone’s rooms ready when I get back, Charlie will be happy to see everyone, and the kids will be excited, “I tell them.

The servant comes back with the herbs that I need, I bid my farewell. There is a lot I must do when I get back. We must start Tiny’s training earlier than I expected. My last vision was any indication of what was to come.

We are in a whirlwind of hell, I stepped through the portal back in my private study, and I get to work on the antidote.

I get everything together and head to Tiny’s room. I see John as I am walking into her room he is sitting on the side of her bed. My heart aches for the poor boy. I know he feels like a failure, and he let his sister down. I tell him I have the antidote, and he perks up some and runs out the room to grab the nurse. I have the nurse run the potion directly through her IV.

I head to the hall and sit next to my hubby. He tells me John went to go get the boys.

Charlie asked me what's nextx "All we can do is just wait, dear," I tell him.
