Chapter 15: Getting Grandma

Phillis POV cont.

John links me and tells me the twins are still sleeping and he and Ryan are on his way down with him. I link him back and tell him to let the twins sleep, and I will see him soon.

Dr. Whitiker came past and told us that he was going to check on Tiny, I told him, and I gave his wife the antidote to administer to Tiny about 15 minutes ago. He told me that she linked him already. She is down in the cafeteria, putting in an order for Tiny. I laughed because she knows my little moonbeam so well.

I brought Tammy with me from my coven when I came to be with my mate. Her mother was a healer, and so was she. Since she is my first cousin, we have always been close. Me, Tammy, Carmen, and Riley were thick as thieves in our younger years.

That was before Railey had to move when her mother ended up being mated to the King of the Bears. Tammy moved away when we were in middle school when her mother got betrothed to an elder from the council. When I met my mate, my aunt and uncle thought it would be a good idea for Tammy to travel with me, so she has a higher chance of finding her mate. When we got to my mate's kingdom, she ended up finding her mate. Dr. Whitaker was good friends with Charlie, Jacob, Trey, and Malcome. Dr Whitaker had just returned from his medical training when we arrived. Everyone hit it off, Tammy and Dr. Whitaker had a daughter, Tina, who ended up being mated to Charlie’s cousin Jacob.

Dr. Whitaker comes out of Tiny’s room and tells us she will be up in an hour. I tell Charlie that I will be back. I have to meet with the head of housekeeping. When we need to get some rooms ready, we will be having guests shortly. He chuckled, “Let me guess Carmen and Jacob are coming, and knowing Jacob, he told Victor and Melody, and they are coming too.

I laughed that it was exactly right, Melody would stay in the Vampire kingdom until your Uncle Ramon and Zimel got there. Then Melody, Victor, Zimel, and the twins will be stopping in the fae kingdom. Your uncle Zimel offered to stay in the Fae kingdom so Jacob could come.

The twins will be completing their training here with Tiny since Victor is going to take up training the boys.

“John will be happy you know him, the twins Sebastion and Tobias, Atticus and Leonardo are all good friends,” Charlie says.

“Those boys are thick as thieves just like their parents,” I chuckle.

“Hell, just like our parents, you know my dad was best friends with Uncle Zimel and Uncle Ramon and Uncle Paul” They were honorary brothers,” Charlie says.

“So when will everyone be here?” Charlie asked me.

“Carmen will be here in the morning, and everyone else will be here by the end of the week,” I tell Charlie.

I told Charlie I would be back. I am going to go meet with Bam, our head housekeeper, to get everything ready for the morning.

John’s POV

It’s almost time for Tiny to wake up, I tell Grandpa I am going to go wake Darren and Daimon up and be back down.

Before I could knock on Daimon's door, he opened it, I told him Grandma gave Tiny the antidote, and she should be walking up shortly. He tells me he will go wake Darren up, and they will be on their way. I head back to my Tiny’s room; I feel like such a failure. How can I protect a kingdom if I can not protect my sister?

Somil just whimpers in my head. I know he feels the same as me. “We need to get stronger so we can better protect our mate and our sister. I feel like this attack was only the beginning, “Somil tells me.

“I think you're right” I agree with him.

“Do you think Grandpa Charlie can reach out to Uncle Victor and Grandpa Jacob so I can brush up on my training,” I asked Somil.

“Don’t see why he wouldn't. We should talk to him when Tiny wakes up,” Somil says.

Just then, the twins and Ryan walk into the room, “Is she awake yet?” Ryan asked.

“No, not yet” hopefully soon I told him.

We all crowded around her bed waiting for her to wake up, Grandpa said he would be back. He was going to see if he could find the doctor.

“Why hasn’t she woken up yet?” Ryan asked me.

“I don’t know, the doctor also said it would probably be an hour, and I don’t think it has been an hour yet,” I told him.

He just sighs and sits down on the corner of her bed. Soon, we hear her wake up, and she is grumbling about the lights. Daimon jumps up and dims the lights in the room, Ryan ends up shouting in excitement. Tiny yells at him to be quiet, but we know he doesn’t care. Ryan has always viewed Tiny as his ray of sunshine. I know if something was to happen to her, it would break him. He ignores Tiny’s complaining and gives her a giant hug. She hugs him in return.

I asked her how she was doing and hugged her. She wanted to know where Grandma and Grandpa were. I told her grandma went to lie down and rest for a little while, and Grandpa went to go find the doctor.

Just then, Grandpa came back in with the doctor. He checked over Tiny and asked how she was feeling. She told him she was hungry, of course she was hungry she was always hungry; I just chuckled. Dr. Whitaker laughed and told us he was going to send some food to her, and he left.

Tiny tells us she must talk to everyone she has something important to tell. I tell her I will go and get Grandma; I leave the room and take the elevator to the 5th floor.
