Chapter 8 The accident

John's POV cont.

When we drove past the town exit, I could see Tiny’s body relaxed, which caused me and my brothers to relax. We finally ate our now cold food with everyone satisfied.

I see Ryan and Daimon have dozed off, and from the looks of things, Darren and Tiny are right behind them. But as soon as Tiny starts to fall asleep , she pops back up and tells me her wolf and drangon sense danger again.

"s**t! I had a feeling that she would be sensing danger soon. I had noticed someone was tailing us a couple of exits ago.

I sped up, and the car behind us accelerated too, Tiny was in a full panic mood, which is not good. I try to make a turn at the next exit to lose our pursuers. Just as I went to make the turn, another car came out of nowhere and smacked us, causing us to spin off the road and crash into a barrier head-on.

My head smacks off the steering wheel. Dazed, it takes me a minute to come too. When the passenger door of the car is ripped open, and a group of men are trying to snatch Tiny out of the car. I let out a growl, but I can not get to her because I am stuck in the seat. Tiny regains consciousness and starts to put up a fight to keep from being taken, Ryan is the next one to come too and he sees the men trying to carry Tiny off kicking and screaming and sees that I am stuck. He immediately springs into action and jumps out the window, shifts into his wolf Midnight, and goes in for the attack.

Damion shakes off his dizziness and springs into action, jumping out of the car joining the fight.

He may be young, but our father made sure that all of us were trained from the time that we all could walk, especially Tiny, (he didn't want his princess to be helpless in a fight)she just took down 3 of her assailants. Darren is the last to come too and climbs out of the car to try and pry my door open.

Just when he set me free, we heard a shot ring out, and Tiny screams. We looked at the scene before us and panicked. Ryan just dropped to the ground, bleeding profusely. Darren attacked the man that shot Ryan, breaking his neck. We all ran to our brother, who has now shifted back into his human state. He is losing a lot of blood and is getting paler by the minute; I take my shirt off and put pressure on his wound. Damion runs to the wreckage of my car and digs through the back for our first aid kit. I keep specifically for times like these. Being the next in line to be king comes with it's down falls almost every time I leave the house, me and my people get attacked.

Damion comes running back with the first aid kit in his hand, and I get to work. I’m able to remove the bullet and seal his wound with some instato stop the bleeding. I injected him with a serum to neutralize the silver that got into his body. Now, the rest is up to him and his wolf.

Just as I get Ryan semi stabilized, more two vans of full of men pull up. Damion and Darren go on defensive mode and get in a protective stance in front of Ryan and Tiny. These men are different from the last ones that attacked us. I can tell that some are shifters and others are vampires. But there is something off with their aura. Soto tells me to stay on my guard because these creatures smell dark magic.

"s**t" this is going to be a problem on top of that we are vastly outnumbered. I shift into Soto and start attacking everything in sight. Soto is pissed and out for blood that someone had the gall to harm his family and try to take Tiny away from him.

Darren and Damion are fighting with everything they have, but we are still outnumbered. One of the Vamps were able to get past them and grab Tiny. She was able to put up a fight, but before she could do any damage, another vanp snuck up behind her and injected her with something.

I she he moves start to get sluggish Incan tell she is about to pass out. I don't know what the hell was in that syringe in order to knock. Tiny out, she is damn near immune to silver and most poisons.

I see her collapse, and the vamp that injected her has scooped her up and is now trying to make a run for it. He is running to the van that they have arrived in. Soto sees this and is trying to get to her, but we are being attacked by 3 vamps and 2 werebears.

"Which are strong as s**t", by the way, I have never seen one before since the werebears like to keep to themselves.

I would never like to see another one after this. I heard they are insanely strong. But with the dark magic flowing through their veins, they are probably even stronger.

Darren also sees the vamp trying to make an escape with Tiny and charges at him.

He knocks both of them to the ground. I’m able to take out all 3 of the vamps and knock out one of the bears, but just as I got the one bear done the other takes the opportunity to bite down on my shoulder and rip a piece off.

Soto was able to claw him down his stomach and rip it open. But as soon as he went down, the other werebear came too and sprang back into action and bit us on our leg.

"Shit." We are losing a lot of blood. That damn bear took a huge chunk out of my shoulder.

But we can’t let that stop us. We can’t let them take Tiny.

Damion was able to take out the vamp that had Tiny and now has her in his arms,

Daimon is on the move with Tiny.

He didn't make it far before he was surrounded by wolves.

Darren is fighting 2 vampires and can’t help. I use the last of my energy to take out the last werebear, but I can no longer stay shifted due to the blood loss. Things are not looking good for us, but I know that me and my brothers and I would die before we let anyone take our sister.

from the looks of it, that might be a reality.
