Chapter 9: The Calvary is here

Damion POV

Shit s**t s**t we are completely outnumbered it’s like I take out two vamps, and two more are in their place “I can’t catch a break”.

As I take out another vamp, I see out of the corner of my eye one of those sneaky little bastards creeping up on Tiny and injecting her with something knocking her out.

“s**t!!!

I hurried up and finished the last vamp that attacked me.

I went running full speed into the vamp that was trying to sneak off with my sister, knocking both to the ground. I kill the vamp and scoop my sister up and try to make a break for it, but I do not get far before I am surrounded by wolves.

“s**t”

I can’t take all of them at once, especially since I can sense something off about these wolves. They seem far from normal.

I look for help and see that Darren is fighting a group of vamps, and John is fighting 2 werebears. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to put Tiny down because that gives them the opportunity to take her again. While I am distracted fighting, I can't fight with her in my arms.I try to think of a good strategy but come up with nothing, one of the wolves goes on the attack but before he can get to me John grabs him by his tail and swings him into the side of one of the vans. John now joins me in the circle of wolves. I am happy I have some help, but looking at his injuries, I don’t think I will be able to keep up for long.

I sat Tiny down on the ground between me and my brother so we could go back-to-back to fight and keep an eye on Tiny. Two more wolves attack. I'm able to take down one, but the other was able to bite me on my arm. I kicked him in his muzzle as hard as I could and sent him flying back a few feet.

Another wolf charged at me full-on and knocked me to the ground. I skid and hit the van three feet behind us.

“Holy s**t,” I feel like I got hit by a truck.

“What type of damn wolf is this”, I slowly stood back up as the wolf was coming in for the attack. I fight with everything I have. I grabbed a piece of metal for the crash, and as soon as I got an opening, I stabbed the wolf in the throat.

I ran back to John and Tiny as fast as I could, I saw a wolf trying to drag Tiny away with the back of her hoodie. I charged at him and knocked him away from her, I scooped her up again.

I am going to have to make a run for it with her, I don’t get two steps before two wolves attack me. I was able to dodge one attack but was not so lucky with the other.

“s**t, s**t, s**t!!!

He managed to bite down on my shoulder, I dropped Tiny and fell to my back as hard as I could, landing on the wolf. He let my shoulder go, I took advantage of him being startled and snapped his neck.

The other wolf that attacked me is dragging Tiny off by her arm. I grabbed another piece of metal from the ground and charged at the wolf, stabbing him. I grab Tiny again and try to make a run for it, but it is useless. Another wolf charged at me, and I kicked him and sent him flying.

But it is not enough as soon as I take one out another rushes at me there are just too many of them. Two more wolves attack, and I drop Tiny again’ One of the wolves bites me on the leg, and I kick him in the snot with my other leg.

He yelps and lets go, The other wolf that attacked me with him bites down on my other shoulder, and I punch him in his snout as hard as I can. He bit down harder; I saw the other wolf I kicked earlier, dragging Tiny off by her leg. I started punching the wolf that bit my shoulder even more and even harder. He is not letting go. He keeps biting down harder.

“s**t” I am losing a lot of blood. If this keeps up, I am going to pass out soon. I felt around on the ground, trying to find another weapon. I found a glass shard; I stabbed the wolf in his eye with it. He finally let go, I tried to make my way to Tiny again. Just as I am getting close, I am attacked again and knocked to the ground. The wolf I stabbed earlier with the glass is back, and boy is he pissed. He didn’t give me a chance to get up before he attacked again, going in for the kill. I managed to hold him back to keep from biting my neck. I see the other wolf that was dragging Tiny to make it to the van.

I lost way too much blood, and my vision is starting to get dark. I know I am going to pass out soon.

Just when all hope seems lost, we hear a screech in the sky, and all our attackers drop to the ground howling in pain. Oh, thank the gods. The help is here, I hope. Just then, a huge black and red dragon comes swooping from the sky, landing near us, and a woman is jumping off it’s back. The women continued the spell that made the wolves and the rest of the vamps drop to their knees. Just then, 4 more vans pull up and out jump a bunch of warriors, then start to arrest the wolves so they can be brought in for questioning.

I sigh in relief and exhaustion; the woman is barking out order at the warriors and for someone to get the medics. I noticed that John had collapsed from the blood loss. The women walked over to me and smiles, you did good, my little warrior. Rest up, I got you.

That was the last thing I heard before everything went dark.
