Chapter 20 Worst Premonition

1071 Words
Charlie’s POV I am freaking out. I have been trying to wake Philis for the past 2 hours. She has been screaming and crying but won’t wake up. I am waiting for the doctor to get here. The last scream she made was ear piercing, and now she looks ghostly pale, and her heart rate has dropped. I have seen her premonitions before, but none were like this, I can normally wake her up after a couple of shakes. But this one was different, very different. Dr. Whitaker came and hooked her up to the monitor equipment and some fluids. He wanted to monitor Phillis all night her heart rate dropped dangerously low. “What the hell happened?” I asked myself. All I can do is wait for her to wake up. Phillis POV Where am I? I remember the bright flash of light. Now, it is just nothing but darkness. Is this the void Tatianna told me about where her mother brought her? I started walking around till I saw a light. I followed that light out to the most beautiful garden I had ever seen. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” Wait, I know that voice. I turn around, and there she is just as beautiful as ever. “Samara?” “Yes, my dear, it's me.” Before she got a chance to finish what she was saying, I ran and jumped in her arms. “I have missed you so much,” I said, crying on her shoulder. She hugged me back; Samara was like a second mother to me. Since my grandmother and Azura were close like sisters, it was natural for their kids to be the same. My mother, Naomi, and Azura’s daughter Samara were close like sisters. “I have missed you too, my child, but I have something urgent to discuss with you that is why I have brought you here.” “s**t, I feel it in my heart. I am not going to like what she says. Charlie’s POV It has been hours, and my love still hasn’t woken up, I can not sit still. I have been pacing back and forth in our bedroom, my mind a complete mess. “Maybe I should go get Frank again,” I say. As soon as I exited the room, I heard a murmur. I ran back into the room, and Phillis just opened her beautiful eyes. “Mi amore, you had me so worried. I couldn’t wake you up.” “Charlie listen to me, this is urgent it is about my premonition. I need you to call everyone and get them here. We don’t have much time; I will discuss everything with you when everyone arrives.” “Dear, what is going on?” “The threat on Tiny is way bigger than we thought. That is all I can say until everyone else is here. “Ok mi amore, I will start making calls. But when you say everyone, you mean everyone?” “Yes, even the kids, too. We need everyone to be present.” Phillis POV Charlie got up to start making calls. I did the same. By the time the sun started to rise, we were finally done. “I just got off the phone with Malcolm. He, Railey, and Leonardo will be here tomorrow,” Jacob said. “I just spoke to Trey, He, Rainy, and Atticus will be here tomorrow as well,” I told him. “Carmen and Jacob are already coming, and so are Melody, Victor, and the twins,” I said. “Did you call Lexi?” I asked my husband. “I was kind of hoping you would call. You’re the only one who can calm him down. And you know he is going to freak out.” Charlie said. I can just sigh. He is right. “I will call him now; can you call my mother too? She will need to be here to hear this,” I tell Charlie. He agreed, now to call our son. Just as expected Lexi freaked out. “How did it go?” Charlie asked. “He freaked out, he will be here later today,” I tell him. “I will make sure rooms are ready for everyone,” I tell Charlie. “OK mi amore, after that you need to get a little rest. I will deal with Lexi, Carmen, and Jacob when they get here,” Charlie said. “Ok, I promise I will get some rest,” I tell him. I left the room to go find Greta, our head housekeeper. I find her in the kitchen preparing breakfast for everyone. I informed her to make extra food and extra rooms needed to be prepared for the others. I headed back to my room; Charlie wasn’t there so I knew he must have gone to his office. To take security measures for the upcoming guests to arrive. I lay down and try to get a couple more minutes of sleep. “UMPH!!!, What the hell, I fling whoever is on me on the floor.” “Ouch” “Carmen, what the hell is wrong with you?” “What I tried waking you up, but you wouldn’t budge.” “So, you decided to jump on me, my stars woman, you almost gave me a damn heart attack!” “Oh, don’t be so dramatic.” I can’t help but scoff at her, she has been like this since we were kids. Jumping on me was always Carmen's special way of waking me up. I was not a fan of it then and I am not a fan of it now. “Come on, Grumpy, we have much to discuss. The kids, Jacob, and Charlie are already in the dining room waiting for us.” I huff, anyone who knows me knows not to talk to me till I have at least one cup of coffee in my system when I wake up. “Come on Phillis, I got you your favorite vanilla latte from Tony’s.” Now that piqued my interest. “Ok, I am getting up now.” We take the elevator downstairs while I sip my latte. By the time we got downstairs, Lexi had just arrived. I hugged my son and then he hugged Carmen, and we made our way to the dining room.
