Charles and Elizabeth stood in front of his dresser as he dug through one of the drawers, black jewelry boxes were mixed in with his socks, he opened up several boxes before finding the one he wanted to give her tonight. It was a simple diamond necklace with matching earrings, he held it up for her to see.
"I get a choice in this?" She asked as she looked at the pretty jewels.
Charles let out a sigh, tell a woman you love her and things change. He removed the necklace and stepped around her to fasten it around her neck. Once it was clasped in place he held the box out to her so she could pick up the earrings. She picked up the small diamonds and put the thin wires through her ears, he looked at her. The olive dress was too fussy for her, the big sleeves didn't suit her at all.
