As soon as Caroline got her hands on the phone, she dialed Eric immediately.
The call connected quickly, and she spoke with composed urgency, "Eric... it's me, Caroline."
There was a pause on the other end, stirring a moment of doubt in Caroline. Had Elijah been right? Did Eric really not care about her?
Just then, Eric's voice, rough with emotion but unmistakably thrilled, filled the silence. "My love! Thank God, I've finally reached you. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, but I'm trapped on Elijah's private island in Switzerland. I'm planning an escape. Can you track my location through this phone?"
"I'm on Elijah's island as well." Eric's voice grew hushed.
