BIRTHDAY

There's only a few remaining days before Jk's 9th birthday. His father still had no idea how to make him happy, especially since he knew that his son was upset with him because he didn't come home on his mother's birthday. Jk was only two years old when his mother died due to an accident. Since then, his life has become miserable. Even though his father gives him everything he wants, it still doesn't seem to be enough. He also rarely talked to his father because he was busy with work, so they were not very close. The day before the birthday, the father thought of talking to his son.

“Son, what do you want to receive on your birthday?” The father asked as he patted the back of his son who was busy playing with his robots.

“Nothing,” the child said before leaving his father to enter his room.

Because of what happened, Nanny Kwen talked to the child.

“Jk, don't you feel sorry for your father? He just wants to caress you." Nanny Kwen said sadly.

“But Nanny Kwen, I don't want anything for my birthday. I only want to be with Mom,” Jk started crying.

“I hate Dad because he is always busy, he doesn't care about me.” Jk kept crying as he threw his pillow against the wall.

The maid tried to calm the child by hugging him. “No! That is not true, Jk. One day, you will also understand your dad's sacrifice. He really wants to be with you but he needs to work to give you a good future.”

The day of Jk's birthday celebration has arrived. He was surprised to see his father wearing his mama's dress.

“No way! What's going on with you?” Jk asked.

His father smiled at him, “Didn't you say you wanted to be with your mom? Surprise! Happy Birthday, Jk. ”

“Are you kidding me? Are you really crazy, Dad?” Jk annoyingly yelled at his dad.

“No, I just want to surprise you.” His father explained to him.

“Surprise what? Is that all you can do for me? To embarrass me? Dad, I don't need anything. Is that hard to understand? What I need is your attention! You're all into business, business, so you forgot about me!” Jk sighed as his father cried.

“Son, you just don't understand. I do everything for the betterment of your life.” stammered his father.

“No! For you, only money matters!” Jk was crying angrily and was about to run when his father suddenly fell down.

His father had a heart attack because he was so hurt by what his son said.

After a while, they reached the hospital and Jk cried incessantly.

“Nanny Kwen, how is Dad? He will be okay, right?” Jk asked, making the maid cry.

For the first time, she heard the child worrying about his Dad.

“You know what Jk, you are lucky because you have a father like Sir Ken. A father who did nothing but to spoil his son just to be happy. Do you think that you are the only one who is sad about the death of your mother? Think of your Dad who has loved your Mom for 21 years. Do you think he can easily forget her? Why are you angry? He has done everything for you. Being a mother and a father at the same time is not a joke, Jk. Please understand him.” Nanny Kwen's emotions flowed because of what happened.

Since before, she's always been trying to change the boy's view of his father, but he has never listened to her.

“Nanny Kwen, I don't want to lose Dad. I love him so much, I don't mean to think he's bad for me. Promise I will be a good boy.” Jk whimpered outside the operating room.
