FATE

“Mom? Who is this man?” My daughter asked me when she saw Jungkook's poster in my storage box.

“Huh?! Which man? Let me see,” I said while getting that poster.

“Ahh, that's Jungkook, my ex-boyfriend, and my first love.” I told her with a smile.

“Woahh? Really Mom? He's so handsome.” My mother said this excitedly while holding my arm.

“But why did you break up?” She asked.

"You know what, honey?" I sighed and brushed her hair.

“When two people are destined to be together, nothing can separate them. Unlike me and Jungkook, we're meant to fall in love, but we won't ever be able to be together. It's fate.” I explained to her why that made her wonder.

“Yes! Because fate knows who really deserves each other, and that's us." My heart beat so fast as I heard my husband's voice.

“Daddy! You're home.” My daughter excitedly ran in his direction.

Her father immediately lifted her up, and I fixed myself before walking closer to them.

“You didn't even message me that you were coming home.” I pouted as I hugged him.

He chuckled. “Of course I want to surprise you both!”

“I really miss you, love,” he said after kissing me.
