Devingel's life in Zenith Dimension

1606 Words
"Mother, I would like to ask for your permission to visit father." Devingel's voice sounded in the brightly lit Empyrean Castle, looking at her mother, Queen Goddess Holysia, without any emotion in her eyes nor her face. Although she is clearly emotionless, there was a hint of politeness and doting in her tone as she asked for her mother's permission. Queen Goddess Holysia looked at Devingel, who is currently on her Celestial form. Holysia's eyes are filled with helplessness and her heart aches for Devingel. Although she is the queen of the Celestial Race, it does not change the fact that she does not have enough power in her hands, or else she might have not allowed Devingel to be in such a difficult situation. Not only was Devingel deprived of her rights to love someone, her freedom of choice is also stripped off her, and she is also being shackled by the fact that she has a Demon blood running through her veins. Holysia stared at Devingel's Celestial form in a daze. Her daughter had grown to be so beautiful but she was deprived of her emotions. She is donned in a white off-shoulder dress with long sleeves, with a blood red waist belt as if to tell the Celestial race that she is not as pure-blooded as they think she was. Her mismatched wings that was usually half a bone wings and half a feather wings is now hidden deep inside her bones. On top of her head was a faint golden halo unique to the Celestials. Her mismatched eyes are now glittering in golden hues. Although Devingel has not come of age yet, as she is only one hundred and nineteen years old, her body is well-developed. Celestials would only come of age and became an adult at the age of one hundred and twenty-six. If we convert it to the age of humans, it was when Devingel turned 18, because as of now Devingel is only 17 years old in human age. The time in the Realm of Utopia is slower than the Mortal Realm. One year in the Mortal Realm is 7 years in the Realm of Utopia. "Mother, may I ask of your permission to visit father." Devingel repeated herself, with a louder voice this time. Although she is very patient towards her mother, but she also dislikes delaying as it may cause the Three Grand Godlers to find a reason to stop her. Sensing Devingel's dissatisfaction, Queen Goddess Holysia snapped out of her daze. Even so, she is not angry with Devingel's dissatisfaction as she understand what her daughter was worried about. She smiled at Devingel, flashing her set of white teeth as she stood up her throne. In a clear voice, she declared: "I, the Queen Goddess of the Realm of Utopia, Queen Goddess Holysia, allow the Judgement Goddess access of the portal to the Mortal Realm." Without mentioning Devingel's name nor her true destination, Queen Goddess Holysia granted her the permission she needed. Holysia also added before Devingel left, "I shall give you 53 days worth of time in the Realm of Utopia, to travel through the Mortal Realm and unto your destination. Dearest, may you comeback here with a satisfied heart." Devingel's gaze soften as she heard her mother's words. Still without a change of emotion seen on her face, she told her mother, "My utmost gratitude. I shall leave now. See you soon, Mother." And Devingel slightly bowed her head before she disappered in the Empyrean Castle. The next location where Devingel appeared is in front of the portal in the Prosperity Hall. The Prosperity Hall is a bustling place in the Realm of Utopia. It is located near the border of the Realm of Utopia and could be considered as the “gate” leading to another realm. There are two portals in the Prosperity Hall, one is an exit and the other is the entrance. Devingel is currently in front of the exit portal. Placing her hands on the sun imprint on the left of the portal, Queen Goddess Holysia's words of permit from earlier once again sounded from the exit portal. Afterwards, a suction force could be felt as Devingel entered the portal. Devingel's body along with the brilliance of the activated exit portal disappeared, and the portal once again returned to it's tranquil state. After entering the exit portal of the Realm of Utopia, Devingel has now exited the entrance portal of the Mortal Realm. There are a total of four portals in the Mortal Realm located in the church where Ruslan lives. 2 of the portals are in the secret room in the third floor of the church, while the other two are in the underground pathway. The two portals in the secret room are used by beings who entered and exited the Realm of Utopia, these portals are mostly used by Celestials, and angels who regularly have to monitor the Mortal Realm. The portals in the underground passage are, as you would have guessed by now, the entrance and exit to the Realm of Dystopia. Devingel exited the secret room and looked for Ruslan in the first floor of the church. The church is four floors, the last one is the rooftop. The church was built with stone and reinforced with foundational magic to withstand the passage of time. Every priest would cast a foundational magic to the church that would last for 500 years. Before Devingel exited the secret room, she changed her form into a disguise that would be more inconspicuous. The halo on top of her head disappered and instead a golden silk ribbon appeared and tied her long purple hair in a ponytail. Her off-shoulder long-sleeved white dress was changed into a white sleeveless, turtleneck dress flowing down her body until it reached her ankles, her striking red belt changed into a red silk-like, thin long-sleeved coat; so thin you can literally see through it. Buttoning the exquisite black button on the belly part of the coat, Devingel also changed her fur boots into a more ordinary footwear. Retracting her Celestial aura, Devingel finally stepped out of the secret room and find Ruslan. As Devingel descend down the stairs of the church, she could already hear the bustling noise on the first floor. This is a normal occurence whenever Devingel visited the Mortal Realm. Humans would ask Ruslan, the Priest, for help in dealing with their troubles. Some of those troubles are bloodthirsty vampires who attacked indiscriminately, while most of them are the mischievous phantoms that caused even angels headache. When Devingel reached the first floor, she found Ruslan surrounded by human, male and female, young and elderly alike. He's really popular. Ruslan has a rather long brown hair that reached pass his shoulder. Donned in the clothing of a Priest, with a cross necklace in his neck, he smiled and patiently answered all the inquiries of the humans surrounding him. Ruslan's facial features is that of a pretty boy, but not quite. It can be described as both handsome and beautiful. When he was smiling, he looks like a sun that was blessing people with the rays of his smile. He looks so dazzling and pretty that the humans couldn't help but be mesmerized. However, Devingel is immune to it. When Ruslan was serious, he would display a terrifying aura that made people want to submit to him. His normally soft features would be as sharp as the glint in his eyes, and you would have the illusion of being sucked into his eyes that resembled the abyss; so black it could drown you. Sensing Devingel's gaze, Ruslan turned his head towards her direction, and his smile became increasingly dazzling causing Devingel's eyes to flashed in a faint glare. She treated Ruslan's smile at this moment as an eyesore. It felt so fake she hated it. Ruslan excused himself and walked towards Devingel, his smile was still plastered on his face. "Your smile looks so fake." Devingel straightforwardly said when Ruslan stopped in front of her. Ruslan released a bout of laughter, disregarding Devingel's frankness as if he's already used to it. "You should stopped by first, how many days of human time were you given this time?" Ruslan asked Devingel as they head towards the living quarters of the church. "Just a day and a few hours. I can stay for four hours here, afterwards I'll visit Father." Devingel answered with her usual emotionless tone. Her face still looked like she has a facial paralysis, her eyes gazing straight at their destination. "The usual time, huh. Well then, we're here." Ruslan said as he opened the door to the living quarters. What greeted Devingel's sight is the usual quiet living room. "Where's your lover?" Devingel asked Ruslan, looking for Claude. "Probably out helping with the issues of the Phantoms wreaking havoc." Ruslan shrugged. "I'm surprised you allowed him.." Devingel's sentenced was cut off when an effeminate voice belonging to Claude sounded outside the door of the living quarters. "Finally back!" Claude exclaimed as he barged on the door, releasing a breath of exhaustion. He froze when he saw Devingel and Ruslan sitting in the living room, looking at him. "Eh? You're here, Devi. You're visiting your father?" Claude asked as he walked towards the sofa and propped himself beside Ruslan. "Hm. It's good that you're here. I have something to say to you." Devingel's tone became serious different from the lack of emotion she has earlier. Noticing the change, the two lovers also looked at her. “I'm leaving the Zenith Dimension.”
