23Amy held a bottle of wine as she stood in Tek’s doorway. “I hope you don’t mind that I brought something civilized for myself to drink. I didn’t see anything in your fridge except beer.” She walked into the kitchen before he could reply. Amy hugged her brother and stepped back to look at him. “It looks like you’ve lost weight.” Tek put his thumbs through his belt and slid them back and forth to his hips. “If you and Mom keep feeding me I’ll need to let my pants out.” Amy pinched her brother’s cheek. “Count on it.” “Do you want to crack that open now?” Tek took a wine glass from a cupboard.
