You think getting me some random cupcakes is what it takes to get me in your bed?!" Ruth shoves the wrapping box of cupcakes to Natty's chest. Holding the box, he lets out a defeated chuckle "These aren't some random cupcakes,Ruth. They are your favourite" Natty says looking down at her piercing eyes. "Chocolate cupcakes with strawberries on top" he adds assuring her.
"I don't believe you would give me these out of the blue, Nathaniel" said Ruth with a bit of hesitation in her tone.
"f**k no! Ruth I don't give these cringe things to every girl out here" She takes a step closer narrowing her eyes. "Then why?"
"Maybe because the thought of you n***d in my bed has been ruining me a lot recently" his wicked grin comes back, the disappointed look fading. He was teasing her but still fears if she wouldn't take it as a jock, except to the fact it is partially true.
"I am not into funny businesses Relationship comes first"
'Damn she is serious!' he thought.
"So you want to fall in love first?" Natty leans closer making her nervous. "and it can never be with you"
"What if I am the love of your life, Ruth?"
"and what if you're not?"
The tension increases with each sentence.
"watch me become your prince charming in no time, Ruth!" "Good luck with that, Nathaniel!"
Ruth picks her backpack rushing out of the classroom.
He was already in love and she wanted him to say it out loud too.
