I have been running all night, managing to avoid any more Vampires, though they are all I can smell. Somehow, I think they are all hiding in the darkness, just watching me as I get closer to Karnak. I have found it strange in the past, even during the war, how some Vampires attacked to kill, while others were more careful with me. Is it Karnak's orders that I shall not be killed? And then ones that didn't obey that order, simply didn't care? It certainly didn't seem like Vivienne cared, it seemed like she was willing to kill me, just so I wouldn't get to Karnak. She knew who I was though, did Karnak tell her himself, or is my existence just common knowledge among the Vampire community? Parts of this will always be a mystery to me, I think.
