MEETING THE PARENTS

Pulling up outside Patrick's house, our house, I'm filled with joy. This house is my home and I plan on exploring every inch. Patrick helps me down from the carriage and kisses my forehead.  "Let's go home." He says.  We walk inside and I can smell that Mrs Murphy is cooking something delicious. Then I hear a squeal and for a moment, I'm frozen in fear. Running out from the kitchen is a short, plump woman with hair as black as Patrick's. She has brown eyes and rosy cheeks and although she's smiling, there are tears in her eyes.  "My Baby." She weeps as she hugs Patrick, her head barely reaching his chest.  "Hi Mam, I'm ok, please calm down." "I'm allowed to worry about my only son, aren't I? Now, who is this beauty beside you?"
