Chapter 27—Moana’s POV
After Ashton and Nadine left, the office was quiet. I went to the desk to sit and kept staring at the space not even knowing what to think.
My mind kept circling back. Nadine was angry because I was back at the company. Selene’s voice when she spoke to me.
I leaned back and closed my eyes.
I heard my name.
“Moana.”
I opened my eyes immediately.
I stayed still thinking I was hallucinating.
This wasn’t funny. My brain was tired. That was all.
