Chapter 24_Moana’s POV
The restroom door shut behind me and I locked it immediately.
I walked straight to the sink and turned the tap. I cupped the water in my palms and splashed it on my face. I leaned forward over the sink, gripping the edge so hard my fingers ached.
Ashton’s face came to mind and I closed my eyes.
My chest felt tight. I folded my hands against the front of my dress, as if that alone could hold everything together.
How do I even explain this to people?
How do I tell anyone that I have a boyfriend but it was no other than my step brother?
I splashed water on my face again, harder this time, like I could wash the thoughts away.
“Get it together,” I muttered.
A knock hit the door.
“Moana?”
I froze.
Another knock, lighter. “Moana, are you okay?”
It was Selene.
