Chapter 13: Heartbreak

I am on a plane to North Carolina, with my daughter Annabel. Sarah had gone along with her plan and here I am, in a plane, on my way to see Claire. Sarah convinced me that this was going to be good that is if I actually don't f**k this up and do as we have planned. I am going to go over there and tell her how I really feel and apologise and ask her to date me.

I said that so easily even though I know I am going to need all the courage in this life to do this.

"Daddy why exactly are we travelling here, I thought we were going to spend Christmas at home" Annabel asked

"Yes honey, but something urgent came up that daddy has to attend to" I said

"Okay"

Our plane landed at night and we head to our hotel, were we would be staying.

All through the night, I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about Claire. How is she going to react when she sees me? Is she going to want to talk to me? I prayed that everything goes well with us. I didn't travel all the way down here to act a coward. I am going to make this happen.

The next morning was bright and clear. I haven't had a good sleep in a while.

"Good morning sunshine" Micheal greeted me

"You are up already?" I didn't take you to be a morning guy." I said

"Well I am, and I made you breakfast" he placed a tray on the bed.

"I hope this isn't part of your service, because I am broke"

He laughed.

"You are funny. Don't worry, I wont add extra charges"

"You better not"

I had a bite of his pancakes and I swear they were good.

"Where did you learn to cook?" I asked him

"My mum was a chef" he said almost quickly.

I couldn't tell why he avoided my eyes.

"Was??" I said.

"Yeah, she passed away while I was in college." He said.

"You went to college?" I said surprised

"Really??? What do you take me for dumb ass"

He threw a pillow at me.

"Why would you be into this if you went to college. You could be at a job working or something and making money." I said

"I am working and making money." He said

"Why this job exactly?" I said

"Because I love it."

"You love dating different women and sleeping with them?" I asked

"Urmmm yeah... do you want to give me a reason to stop?" He looked at me

He was flirting with me again and he was doing it so well.

"Isn't this reason obvious enough?" I flirted back.

He drew close to me and kissed me. I put my hands around his shoulders and received his kiss, just when we were enjoying our little fun play, the door flung open.

"Hmmm" my mum coughed.

We both jumped in shock.

"Hi, mum" I said.

"Good morning ma'am' Micheal said.

"I see you two are having fun already but can you not do it over the food." She took the tray of food from my bed and placed it on the table.

"And who's the chef?" She asked.

"I am ma'am" Micheal said.

"Hmmm" My mum looked at him almost like she was impressed.

"Well this can wait. You guys are going hiking today, so get prepared." She said and left the room.

We both looked at ourselves and laughed.

"What do you think?" Micheal asked

"I think she was impressed" I said.

"She definitely is the best in hiding impressions"

"There's just one problem" I said

"And what's that?"

"I hate hiking."

"You do huh? That's a plus for me then"

"How is this a joke?. I broke my leg once trying to climb through a rocky path"

"Oops I am sorry. Is that the reason for your bad leg" he laughed

I punched him and used a pillow to hit his head. He kept laughing and held my waist till we both fell on the bed.

I woke up to a loud knock at my door. I wasn't expecting anyone and do I know anybody here. And the knock came again. I stood up and went to answer whoever is it disturbing my peace.

"Who is it?" I asked

"Open up Willie."

That was Sarah and what is she doing here?

I opened up the door and saw her with a luggage.

"I didnt know you were travelling here" I said

"I wasn't. But then I thought you would be needing help with Annabel for your little quest, so I came to help and I sure could use a little vacation".

"God!!! Sarah you are a darling. You are the best. I don't know what I would do without you" I hugged her.

"Okay!! It's okay William. You have to get going"

"Now?"

"Yes now!!. Move and make sure you get that girl."

"Thank you so much sarah".

I went to have a bath and get dressed

"Daddy are you going out?"

Annabel walked into my bedroom

"Hey darling, how was your night?"

"Fine. Can I come with you?"

"Annabel dear" I bent down to talk to her

"I have something important that I have to do today. And when I come back I promise I would take you out" I said.

"Don't worry, I gat you. We are going to have so much fun today darling" Sarah walked into the room, talking to Annabel.

"Aunt Sarah!!!" Annabel ran to hug her

"Darling I missed you"

"I did too"

"Thank you so much Sarah. Honey, I have to get going. I love you" I said to annabel

"I love you too daddy" Annabel hugged me

On my way to her house, I kept thinking over and over again how I was going to talk to her. Sarah had got me the location to her plae and I am just following the map. The town is beautiful and peaceful and for her to leave a place like this, then there must be real s**t going on with her. And she had opened up to tell me everything, she had trusted me with her secrets and pains, but I threw all that away because of my foolishess. I can't wait to see her and apologise for all I did.

It wasn't so hard locating her house, the town was small and had easy paths. As I drove in, I was stunned by the house that sits in front of me. She never mentioned it that she was rich, she really is one of a kind.

I knocked at the huge door and it didn't take a minute before the door flung open. There was a woman wearing a white apron, she seemed to be a cleaner or a chef, I couldn't place it.

"May I help you?" She asked me

"I am here to see Claire" I said

"Is she expecting you?" She asked

"Who is that?" Someone from inside said, just then, I heard footsteps coming towards the door

"Who are you, young man?" The woman said

"I am Claire's friend, I came to see her." I said

She looked at me intensely before speaking

"Do you live here?" She asked

"No, I just came from New york". I said

"Ohh, then it must be that serious, come in" she said

I walked into the house and was amazed at how beautiful it looks.

"You may have a seat. By the way, I am Claire's mother"

"It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am. I must say she gets her looks from you"

"Hmm" she observes me like she was looking for something in me

"So you say you are a friend of Claire eh, and have come all the way from New york to see her"

"Yes ma'am". I said

"She isn't at home now, would be back in the evening. So you might as well come back later"

"I can wait" I said

"Hmm, okay" she said and left

"See, I told you nothing was going to happen to you" Michael said

"You were just lucky it didn't, you would be dead now". I laughed

We had just arrived home and I must say it was good to walk around the city and see some beautiful things

"Tomorrow is the rehearsal dinner and you two better get dressed well so you don't look odd, because everyone is going to be fancy tomorrow" Chloe said.

"Yeah, you have nothing to worry about sisterrr.." I said

She has been all up on my neck since I came home, especially because I brought Micheal.

"Your sister is a real pain in the ass" Micheal whispered in my ears

"That's because of you" I said

"Me??"

"Yeah, she didn't expect that I was going to bring anybody home, because she knew I had just broken up with my boyfriend"

"The coward guy?"

"No, and his name is William"

"So there was another guy before the coward guy."

"Micheal his name is William and yes there was some other guy"

"I thought you said love ain't your thing?"

"I don't remember saying that and what's your point?"

"You had a guy before you me coward guy and then there's me. That's like having three different options to choose from"

"I hired you Micheal, remember?? And Steve had just broken up with me, I met William and we had a situationship and broke off and now I hired you"

"Hmm"

"What is it?"

"I know you hired me but you do not have to say it so often, it makes it awkward. You know what I mean..."

"Nope I don't "

"I think you know what I mean clearly..Claire"

He gave me a discreet look.

"Micheal are you trying to tell me something.." I smiled mischievously

"And what exactly do you think I am trying to say huh?" He tucks my hair behind my ears as he came closer to me

"I think you do not want me saying 'I hired you' because you are definitely falling in love with me" I said

"Really, what makes you say that? Is that what you wish for?"

"Do you know how proud I would be to make a Casanova man fall in love with me. My Sister would be so jealous.." I whispered the last part.

"Claire I like when you talk naughty and right now I want to show you what you do to me" he took my hand and placed it on his d**k, he was so hard and it made me gulp. I looked at him and he smiled. He looks very beautiful and I wanted to kiss those lips. Just as if he knew what I was thinking, he drew close to me and kissed me. I love how he just kisses me anytime, he makes me feel like I can do anything I want to without bothering about what happens next. I put my hands around him and kissed him back.

"Claire???"

I knew that voice so well, it gave me thrills and shocks. Was I dreaming?? I turned around and saw him standing there looking so handsome and gracious. I got that feeling immediately, how can he do this to me every time. I thought I was over him, but I realized that the feelings I have are still very much awake in me.

"Oh Claire, I see you have met your visitor already" my mum came outside.

We all stood there for a couple of seconds in silence

"Claire, don't be rude, this man flew all the way from New York to see you , take him inside"

I drew William's hand and took him somewhere quiet, I didn't care if anybody was surprised at my action, I just wasn't thinking right now.

"What are you doing here?? How the f**k did you find my house??" I just couldn't place anything right now.

"Claire, you were just kissing another guy".

"William, that is none of your business. I can kiss whoever I want to kiss and have s*x with whoever I want to have s*x with and it's none of your business" I was boiling right now and words were just flowing out of my mouth.

"Claire, I....I..." He broke down .

I have never seen this man so broken before like this. What did he come here to do? To break my heart again??

"William, what are you doing here?"

"I came to tell you that I love you Claire and I am so sorry for how I have treated. Claire, you don't know how much you mean to me..."

".....william, you can't do this here." I cut in, not wanting to here those words that are only going to hurt me more.

"Claire please....I don't want to lose you to someone else...I.."

"......you don't have me William. Not anymore....I can't keep doing this with you, so please leave"

"Claire please I just need you to listen to what I have to say, let's work things out..."

"William you can't just come here and do something like this.. you have to leave.. this is my family home"

"Claire ...."

"Stop it. Just stop all of this. I am done with your drama okay... just leave.."

"Please listen to me Clai..."

"....I SAID LEAVE ME THE f**k ALONE..." I cried.

Just then the door opened and Micheal came in.

"Are you okay Claire..." he asked

"Yes I am, william was just about to leave" I said.

He held my hands and hugged me, then turned to william who was still looking at us.

"You heard what she said, leave" he told william

"Claire...please don't do this." William begged

"Do you need me to help you with the door" micheal said

"Please william just leave" I said.

He bent his head down in sadness as he walks out the door.

I felt so much hurt and pain. I want him, but why does love have to be so painful. I would run back into his arms again and the next minute I am getting hurt by him.

"Are you okay, Claire?"

I shook my head because I am not. I really am not and it made me start crying again. Micheal hugged me and consoled me like he always does.

"I am here for you Claire" he said. He's always here. He's been so amazing to me and even though I don't feel the same way I feel about william, I still like him. I really do. I looked at him and wonder how we got here. He caught my eyes and smiled at me almost too sadly like he felt pity for me.

He leaned forward to kiss me and I kissed him back not caring about anything at this moment, just giving. The kiss intensified and the heat between us became strong. Without thinking about my actions, I came on top of him and started unbuttoning his shirt as I worked my mouth in his mouth. After a successful attempt of removing his shirt, i unzipped his trousers and freed his d**k from his boxers. He was matching my energy also by removing my own clothes too. Then he started sucking my breast

"Hmmmm" I moaned . I wasn't ready to waste any time. I stroked his d**k and then sat down on it.

"Urgggg" he groaned and I also moaned too. I rode on him. I was filled with pleasure as I went up and came down almost quickly.
