Chapter 33.

1028 Words

Sophia's POV. We arrived at Damian's mother's house, and it was a decent apartment with a large living room and a few rooms around it—nothing compared to the mansion that we had just left—and I felt a little bit comfortable seeing that it looked just like my apartment in Chicago. It was not exactly the same, but the fact that it was not as large as the mansion where we just came out but was a comfortable apartment for a decent family made me suddenly feel at home. "Welcome, my dear. Damian already told me you were coming." His mother said to me, and she received me at the door, and just then Marco said something to her almost in a whisper before walking away. I saw the way she stood there looking at Marco until he got into the car and drove away, and then she let out a sigh of relief.
