Chapter 22 “Ready?” Melissa asked. “Absolutely not. But that doesn’t seem to be stopping me. Let’s do it.” Melissa fired the launcher three times over the hotel roof’s low parapet. Sofia had rigged a small camera on the edge of the parapet looking across at the roof of La Tumba—one of her expensive night-vision ones; one thing that Duane’s store-boughts couldn’t do was see in the dark. In her glasses she watched Melissa’s three projectiles thunk down on the three corners of the roof and explode in puffs of gas.
