Rachelle hesitated, things hadn’t become easier, even though a deal had been brokered: Two people to drag along if they won, ten people if they lost. But between herself and the people to be dragged along, it was the people to be dragged along who were in better shape to be trusted. They hadn’t killed Nati’s father. But that wasn’t reason she was hesitating.
The ocean of white cloud below her feet had her hesitating, she wasn’t flying but rather standing on the edge of the world staring down with light breath. Next to her stood Nati and Daki who looked more eager than tense. It didn’t help things.
“Someone remind me again what exactly we are doing?”
“We’re securing the rope to both containers.” Nati said.
