As he bared his fangs and lowered them to her neck, he got distracted by a growling sound and a wolf launched at them before his fangs could pierce her skin.
Iyana fell face to the ground as she rolled away. The wolf was standing on the vampire leader and other wolves charged at the other guy.
Just then, the wolf shifted into its human form and a lady was over the vampire guy, naked.
"Why don't you pick someone your own size." She growled, baring her own fangs too.
"Get off me you crazy naked freak." The vampire struggled but the lady shifted back into her wolf form and he used that opportunity to attack her.
Lynn crawled to Iyana who was groaning on the floor, looking at the duo fight.
"This seriously has to be the worst day yet. Moon goddess, she's so strong I can still feel her pounce." Iyana complained as she rubbed her arms.
"Retreat men." The vampire leader barked at the rest of them and they sped out of the place.
The wolves turned to the friends who were still sitting on the floor in pain. Their leader, the lady from earlier, was the first to shift into her human form and the rest did the same.
"I am starting to doubt the fact that you have werewolf blood running in your veins, Iyana or whatever you're called. Yeah but guess what, you're not a pure werewolf so I can see the reason why." She hissed as she looked at her nails.
"It is none of your business Ria. I didn't scream for your help or call out to you, so don't act as if I'm begging for you to save me." Iyana clenched her fist.
"Words coming from a bastard of a child. If we don't help you, you'll be dead by now being a half werewolf and half stain." Ria snorted.
"Because I am not a werewolf doesn't mean I can't shut you up Ria…"
"Guess what, she can't even shift into her werewolf form despite being a half werewolf." Ria threw her head back in laughter and her minions followed suit.
"Hey don't talk to her like that…"
"Beat them up." Ria ordered and her minions immediately shifted to their wolf form and charged towards the two friends.
Iyana forced herself up and took a defensive stance before Lynn then raised her hand in a controlling way. She spread out her hands before clenching them and all the wolves charging at them started falling and whimpering.
Ria on the other hand fell on her knees with the color draining from her face. She looked pale like she had no blood in her body.
"Don't underestimate me Ria. I can do much more than you can imagine and even kill you if I want to." Iyana warned before releasing her clenched fist.
Ria gasped for breath as Iyana did that and blood started flowing well in her veins again.
The two friends used the opportunity to escape from there. "We should get you checked as soon as possible." Iyana said as they rushed out of the school premises.
"I can't even feel my insides." Lynn complained as they walked towards a convenience store.
Iyana pushed the door open and the woman behind the counter looked at them with disgust in her eyes.
"How may I help you?" She asked.
"We need first aid." Iyana replied not even paying attention to her disgusted glare. She just walked over to the first aid corner, pulling Lynn along.
Iyana pulled out the first aid box. She took out the cotton wool and methylated spirit before applying it on Lynn's cuts, making her whimper gently.
"It hurts." She complained and Iyana handed her water.
"Wash the blood in your mouth out. You look like a vampire who just finished feasting." Iyana rolled her eyes.
"You don't look any better." Lynn s**t back making Iyana press the wet cotton wool against her wound and she bit her lips hard trying not to scream at her friend's wickedness.
Lynn stood up after covering her wounds and washed her mouth and Iyana did the same after. Iyana turned on her phone and she looked at the time.
"It's almost time for my shift to start." Iyana sighed. "Less than two hours left."
"Will you be able to work after all that beating and hitting? If I was the one, I would take the whole day off." Lynn rolled her eyes as she placed a note in the vending machine to get two drinks.
"Well, that's you. If I get a shower and a quick nap, I'll be fine." Iyana snatched one of the drinks from her and walked towards the exit.
"I was going to give it to you." She groaned at Iyana's behavior but she didn't seem to care. She just dropped a dollar note before the woman behind the counter and walked out with Lynn trailing behind her.
They both got to the curb and started walking towards their homes. "Mother would freak out if she heard I was beaten up by vampires. Or probably throw a tantrum." Lynn sighed as she threw the can of drink with her into the nearby trash can.
"Luckily, there's no one to complain about me."
"You live alone, Iyana."
"I told you countless times to move out and stay on your own. You passed highschool already, kid." Iyana rolled her eyes.
"You know father would never allow that." Lynn sighed as she got to her house. "You can come over for dinner if you like, mother is making chicken soup."
"If I can drop by after my shift, I'll tell you. If I can't, I'll text." Iyana replied with a wave as she walked towards her house which was just two houses away.
She lived in a small house in the same compound with an old woman who was blind. Although the woman was human and detested her, she allowed her to rent the house.
"Good afternoon ma'am." Iyana greeted the old woman who sat on her porch with her head down.
"A crazy lady is waiting in front of your place. The woman had to scream your name and disturb my peaceful rest." The old woman grumbled as Iyana walked towards her place and saw a woman dressed in a long black gown and her black hair in a messy ponytail standing at her door.
Iyana's face darkened as the woman turned to face her. "Oh Iyana, you're back already."
