Ember retreated to her room, snacking on the cookies she got from the kitchen as she watched the courtyard outside her window. Directly opposite her room window was a large maze. She had never used it, never had the opportunity to fully explore the mansion. ‘I should do that sometime,’ she noted mentally.
A knock sounded at her door, and she answered tiredly, telling whoever it was to come in.
Dorothea entered, carrying new dresses and accessories. She placed them on the couch before walking over to Ember, bowing low.
