Rose picked up Betsy after tea on Tuesday evening. Shelly stared curiously at her from the back of the car and waited for Rose to introduce them. Today, Betsy was wearing a multi-coloured bobble hat – an item which she had started last week at the knitting class. “You’ve finished it!” Rose commented. “Do you like it?” Betsy pulled down her mirror and inspected her reflection. “Ron called it psychedelic.” “It’s very colourful,” Rose said kindly, “and it looks warm. Perfect for the winter.” “Er… isn’t it almost summer?” Shelly voiced from the back. Betsy’s head snapped round. “I feel the cold, and I suffer from migraines.
