They left the karaoke bar and walked slowly back to the hotel. “The entertainment isn’t bad,” Shelly said. “There’s a magician tonight and an Abba tribute act later on in the week.” “What’s going on over there?” Marian pointed to the beach where a group of men were hauling lights and speaker systems onto a makeshift stage. “Looks like a beach party,” Fin answered, “let’s check it out.” Rose clambered over a low wall and then her feet were sinking into soft sand. “Howdy,” Fin said to the men, who had paused to catch their breath, “is this a private party or is anyone allowed to join?” “The more the merrier,” a sandy-haired muscular man said. “It’ll cost you, though.” “I’ll pay.” Tom dug in his pocket for his wallet. Rose opened her handbag. “Can I give you something towards it?”
