Chapter 17 Alexander

1345 Words
My shower was quick and I got dress even faster in my usual attire. I spray myself with some Christian Dior, gel my hair and put on my shoes. I look in the mirror damn I clean up nice. After staring at myself for a few more minutes I figure it’s time to head to the dining room. But something doesn’t feel right. I’m…anxious, no I’m nervous. For the first time in my life that I can recall I’m actually nervous. I laugh at the revelation, what is this girl doing to me. It’s just lunch in my dining room, in my house. Snapping out of my thought I leave my room and head down stairs. I enter the dining room and the aroma of seasonings and spices from the kitchen hits my nose immediately. My stomach growl instantly telling me I’m hungry. I look at the empty table and see that she isn’t here yet. I look down at my watch, she still has a few more minutes left. I walk over to the and take my usual seat at the head of the table. “Claire a beer.” I order out. “Of course Sir” she replies walking from the kitchen to the dining room. She pulls out a beer bottle, opens it and then walks over to me placing it in front of me. “Here you are Mr. Parker, and lunch is almost ready.” She walks back to the kitchen and I pick up my beer and take a swallow. Sitting there my mind thinks back to Alexis. I wonder if she would like the outfit I picked out. Hell would she even wear it? She so head strong and stubborn you just don’t know. But I think that’s what I like about her, she doesn’t take no s**t. She’s just the kind of woman I need in my life. Although I wish she would submit to me just a little. I look down at my watch again and she’s ten minutes late. I’m beginning to lose my patience, was she not told lunch would be ready in thirty minutes? I sit there for five more minutes and she still hasn’t shown up. My frustration at an all time high, I can feel my blood boiling inside of me. What in the world could possibly be taking her so long? I stand up from the table and storm thru the double doors to the stairs. Just as I’m turning the corner I come face to face with Alexis. She stops me dead in my tracks, cazzo e` bellissima. (f**k she’s beautiful) I think to myself, I just want to take her in my arms right now. But I can’t, at least not right now. I groan internally, this isn’t as easy as I thought it was gonna be after all. She looks up at me with an emotionless face. And I mean emotionless I don’t see not one emotion in her eyes. She moves to the side and walks right past me. She takes a seat to the right of mines but three seats away from where I’m sitting. I walk over to her annoyed, she doesn’t even want to be next to me. When I get close to her to let her know where where place is at the table I remember the rules. Searching for Claire I stride to the kitchen and I know what to do. I walk over to her and lean down and whisper my message in her ear before going back to the dining room, taking my seat with a smile on my face. Alexis I walk down the stairs towards the kitchen hopefully in the right direction. This place is so big it’s easy to get lost or turned around. However I have to be going the right way because a delicious smell hits my nostrils hard. Just as I’m turning into the dining room I come face to face with the Devil. A very handsome Devil I might add. I keep my composure though, I won’t let him think I find him even a little attractive. We stand there as he stare at me. He stares at me as if this is the last time he’s ever gonna see me again. It’s sort of intimidating, I mean I’ve had men stare at my a*s, my t**s, my body in whole. They stare at me with l**t in their eyes. But this look from Alexander is different. Like he was trying to see in my soul or looking for the real me. It’s a stare of nothing but admiration and adoration. After a minute I clear my throat and step to the side of him and walk over to the table. Not exactly sure where to sit I look at the seats at the table. Seeing a beer at the head of the take I only assume that that’s where his sits is. Deciding not wanting to be too close I take a seat three chairs down. He give me an irritated look before walking over to Miss Claire, whispers something in her ear and comes and sits at his seat. Soon after she walks up to me, “Ms. Alexis, Mr. Parker is insisting you take the seat directly next to his.” I look over to where she’s pointing and groan. I get up and move to where she tells me to go. Alexander calls her back and whispers something else in her ear, too low for me to hear. She looks at me and blush then nods her head at him. She walks back to me and says “Mr. Parker wants to inform you that this is your seat whenever you’re at the table unless…” She pauses and looks back at him and he nods in approval for her to continue. She turns back to me “unless you would be more comfortable sitting in his lap.” I look back at him and he winks at me and I roll my eyes back. I hear him groan. “No this chair is just fine thank you Ms. Claire.” I respond and she nods and walks towards the stove. We sit at the table in an awkward silence. No one says anything, not that we can. I look up to see Alexander staring at me while drinking his beer. It’s the same stare as before, like he’s trying to figure out my darkest secrets. And again it makes me uncomfortable. I look away clearing my throat, but it doesn’t faze him at all. He still stares at me, thankfully Miss. Claire brings the food to the table, placing plates in front of him and I. She pours us both a glass of white wine. “Anything else Mr. Parker?” She asks him and waits for a response. He looks up at her and nods “two pens and a piece of paper.” She gives him a confused look but goes to fetch the items. A minute later she’s back with the pen and paper. She’s places them in between Alexander and I and ask once again if he needs anything else. “That will be all, Ms. Roberts and I aren’t to be disturbed for any reason.” He says in a demanding tone. “Yes sir.” She replies and walks out of the dining room. Closing the doors leaving us completely alone. Then it hits me, I’m alone with Alexander. I try to focus on the food in front of me, it’s homemade lasagna with garlic bread. It smells so good and I instantly pick up my fork and began eating. The first bite melts in my mouth and I accidentally moan. I try to catch myself but it’s too late. I look at him out of the corner of my eyes and I see him staring at me intensely flexing his jaw muscles. I bite my lip and look down at my plate doing my best to ignore his stares.
