Chapter 26 Alexander

These last few weeks pasted by quickly. The attacks on my warehouses seem to have stopped, even thought were nowhere close to figuring out who hit me. On another note everything with Alexis is going good and the s*x is f*****g amazing. And I mean amazing, we do it everywhere. The shower, the kitchen counter, the back of the SUV, just where ever whenever. We still don’t speak but that’s okay because I’m good with the direction we’re headed in. It’s only a matter of time till all that changes. Gio and Jake even got her to use the phone I bought her. *Flashback*

“Are you kidding me princess? You’ve had a phone all this time and you didn’t tell me!” Jake ask putting a hand over his heart. I roll my eyes at his theatrics. “Not cool Fuoco” Gio chimes in. “Technically I don’t have a phone I gave it back to Alexander, I never accepted it.” She defends her self. It’s true I wake up and place the box on my pillow with a new note every morning and every night it’s still there when I get home. “I’m hurt fuoco, you cut me deep girl.” He continues. “Okay, okay I will take the phone, if it will shut you two up. Happy?” She gives in annoyed. “Only if you put a heart by my name.” Jake tells her causing me to growl at his request. “And I want a kissy face next to mines.” Gio demands. I’ve had enough, she’s mine not theirs. The only one who should have anything next to their name is me. I stand up from the dinner table irritated and walk away to my office. I know they are only doing this to get under my skin because they know they are closer to her than I am.

*End of flashback*

So now I am able to text her while I’m away. We’re currently at the new hotel getting staffing in order since we’re getting closer to being open. It took me some time but I have finally come up with a name for the hotel, but that won’t be revealed until the night of the opening. Just thinking about the name Alexis pops up in my mind. I step away from the interview that my new assistant Piper is handling and pull out my phone.

Alexander-“thinking about you bellezza hope you are enjoying your day. I would really like to take you some where. So please be ready by 6:30, dress casual.(inserted two blue hearts)

I wait for her to reply back. My phone pings,

Alexis-“okay”

I smile I know its not much but she has finally accepted me. We’re not fighting, we eat together, we sleep together and she’s getting along with everyone, well except Tracey. My phone pings again, I look down and read the incoming message.

Alexis-“I would like to go to the book store soon.”

Alexander-“Then I will take you to the book store. Anything for you neonata. Anything.”

She doesn’t reply back to the message, which is normal for us. Any sweet or cute messages I send she just reads them. It’s baby steps though. I shove my phone back into my pocket and return to the interviews.

After hours of countless interviews I finally have my staff in place. Rafe has designed my website and that’s up and running. My vendors are all set and my payroll is up. I have a security team in place for my guest safety, since I am a mob boss and all. It’s about five thirty and we’re finally heading back to the mansion. All I care about is seeing Alexis, I wonder what she would wear. Her fashion is all over the place, she likes to wear jeans, shorts, dresses etc. So I’m curious to what she will wear tonight. We get back to the house and I have thirty minutes to spare till it’s time to go, so I go to my office. Unlocking the door I take my seat behind my desk. There’s a folder sitting in the middle of my desk. I go through the file making sure the information I need is in there before I pull out my phone. “What do you need Boss?” Gio answers. “Come to my office and bring Jake with you.” I say hanging up. Gio still has me on the outs and barley talks to me outside of mafia business. He’s been acting more like my second in command than my brother, and I truly miss having my brother. So I do hope this will get us back to where we need to be. They arrive shortly after the call. “What’s up Alex? Something come up?” Jake speaks first but I just toss the envelope to Gio. He picks up the large envelope and looks back at me lost. I nod my head giving him permission to open it and he does. He pulls out the papers and his eyes goes wide as he realizes what it is.

“You found her? How?” He questions as he stares at the papers in disbelief. “I had the other two friends followed and they led Mario right to her. But be careful with this one fratello. There’s a reason why this girl was so hard to find.” I inform him standing up. He rushes me and pulls me into a bear hug. “Thank you fratello.” He praises, “go get her little brother” I say back. “So we’re good now, you’re happy I can have my brother back?” I ask patting his back. “Yeah we’re good.” He tells me, I look over to Jacob and he smiles in approval. We let go and I turn to my other brother. “brother you can have the rest of the night off. Don’t stay out too late, we’ll be up and out early. Understood?” He laughs at my stern demands not taking me serious as he walks away from me. Believe it or not Jake is actually the wildest of us all. And he knows how to party. We all start to walk out together before Gio turns around. “Wait where are you doing tonight? And why am I getting the feeling you’re trying to get rid of us?” “Mind your business brother, I suggest you go before I change my mind.” I threaten and they both take off running. I shake head laughing, while I lock the office door and head up stairs.

I reach my room and open the door to find Alexis walking out the bathroom. She’s wearing blue jeans with a white shirt, a black leather jacket and some black heels. Her hair is straighten and I’m a little disappointed. She looks amazing, beautiful even, but I love her natural curls. I lick my lips while I take her in. The way her jeans hug around her waist, her breast poking out her shirt. She’s wearing minimal makeup just how I love her, natural. She’s so different from any girl I have been with, especially Emily. All in good ways, this girl is nothing I’ve ever seen before. She clears her throat pulling me out of my thoughts. I pull out my phone and type.

Alexander-“You look beautiful, an angel on Earth.”

She reads the messages and bites her lip. She grabs her purse and walks past me towards the door. We head down stairs to the garage and she automatically walks to the SUV before I clear my throat. I head to my 2018 BMW 3.0 CSL. I hold the door open for her to get in before I take my seat on the driver side. I pull out my phone

Alexander-“Just you and me tonight baby girl.” She reads the message before putting in back in her purse and I zoom off.

We pull up to the bookstore just as she requested. Getting out and going to her side opening the door for her. I don’t help her out due to the “no touching rule.” I could of technically since we are out in public but there’s no one around and I don’t need her trying to find a loophole in the agreement. She gets out standing so close to me, everything in me is screaming kiss her. I f*****g hate that rule, I should of fought harder and not let that in. I close her door and we walk to the entrance of the store. I let her walk in front of me for her safety since I have no guards with us tonight. And to stare at her a*s a little longer. Once inside we are greeted by a red head cashier. “Hi welcome to Charlies Bookstore, my name is Melanie. How can I help you?” “My girlfriend is here to get some books.” I state causing Alexis to look at me with a questionable look, I just simply shrug my shoulders. I said what I said. “Okay great, I can definitely help you with that. What kind of books are you looking for?” She looks to Alexis. “Oh uhm, mystery, SYFI and.” She pauses and turns her back to me. “And romance.” She finishes tucking hair behind her ear and I smirk back. “Okay cool I can totally help you out with that, if you just follow me and I’ll show you.”

She follows the cashier as she heads off down the aisle with me in tow. She picks out three books one from each genre she asked about, before heading back to the front desk. She passes a collection of Stephen Kings new books and looks back at me. I gesture for her to go ahead and she searches for the one she wants. Finding the one she wants and heads to the counter. I stay behind and grab one of each book available by him. I walk up to where she’s standing and place all the books next to the others. She looks up to me shock and I pull out my phone.

Alexander-“ When I said the world is yours, baby I meant it. All you have to do is ask and it’s yours. No strings attached.”

I send the messages off, about to put the phone back in my pocket because I wasn’t expecting a reply. When my phone rings and her name pops up.

Alexis-“thank you.” I read it and reply back. “Never thank me for anything I do for you, I will do anything for you.” She looks back at me and we make eye contact. She searches my eyes to see if I’m serious or not and I maintain her stare. She nods her head before turning back to the cashier. “That will be $264.39.” I pull out five hundred dollars and hand it to her. “Keep the change.” I state grabbing the bag of books and walking away. “Thank you, have a great night!” She yells as we’re exiting the store.

I open Alexis’s door before placing the books in the back seat, getting in and speeding off. An hour or so later of me driving in the opposite direction then turning around we finally make it to Ma’s house. That’s right ladies and gentlemen I’m bringing my first girl home to meet my mother. For the first time in a very long time I am nervous. What if they don’t hit it off. What if they don’t like each other. But Ma insist on me bringing her home to meet her so here we are. No one I know has ever met her, no one even knows that I have a living mother. And I planned on keeping it that way but Ma had other ideas. I park in my usual spot and turn the car off. I pull out my phone to text Alexis. Alexander- “This visit isn’t to be discussed with no one, and I mean absolutely no one. I will not express that enough. Do you understand Alexis?” She reads the message and begins to respond. “I understand.” Getting out of the care and walking to her side and open her door letting her out. We walk the distance to the house. Doing my every visit routine, switching my g*n holder and pulling out my single house key. “Ma!” I scream out unlocking the door and walk in. “In the kitchen son!” She yells back. Alexis looks at me and her eyes begin to widen, I shrug at her.

She shuffles with herself to look more presentable while we make our way to the kitchen. I’m instantly greeted with a hug and a kiss on both cheeks. Letting me go she turns to look at Alexis. “Mother this is Alexis” I introduce. Wasting no time Ma wraps Alexis up in a hug. She gives me a shocked looked while returning Ma’s hug. My smile turns into a smirk and I shrug my shoulders. “Hi sweetheart, it’s so good to meet you finally. I’ve been hounding my son here to bring you by for weeks now.” She whines, I shake my head leaning in the door frame. “I’m happy to finally meet you as well Ms. Parker.” They finally separate. “Now young lady it’s either Ma, mother or Rose. Ms. Parker was my dreadful mother in law.” She informs her while dragging her to the table, I follow behind. “So are you adjusting okay? My boy here tells me you needed a place to stay for a little while.” I pinch the bridge of my nose, leave it to my mother to make a situation awkward. I didn’t exactly tell her how Alexis got to my house truthfully, but I didn’t think that she would just bombard Alexis on the first meet. Alexis’s eyes find mines and are met with pleading eyes staring back. She turns back to Ma “Yes ma’am, it was difficult at first but everything worked it self out just fine.” The breath I’ve been holding in I release in relief.

“That’s good sweetheart, I am so glad to hear that. Y’all hungry? I just pulled some steaks off the grill.” Alexis turns to me for answers and I raise my eyebrow giving her permission to make the choice. “Yes, we are hungry.” She tells her. “Perfect, I’m just waiting on the baked potatoes to finish in the oven and we can eat and chat a little.” Ma stands up from the table. “Baby why don’t you go to the garage and grab a bottle of wine for dinner.” She tells me and I comply getting out of my seat with Alexis following suit. “Oh no dear not you just Alexander. You’ll stay with me and we’ll have a little girl talk whiles he’s gone.” Ma says causing Alexis to look up at her. “Uh Ma, I- um-I was actually going to give Alexis a tour of the house.” I lie desperately, hoping she would believe me. She’s a pro when calling me out on my bullshit, nothing I say or do gets past her. “Alexander Noah Parker! If I have to repeat myself you will be sorry son.” She threatens me. “Yes ma’am” I surrender in defeat giving Alexis an apologetic look. “Good now go.” She brushes me off and I take one last look and I walk out the kitchen.
