Chapter 4 Alexis

2357 Words
After about a two hour nap it’s time to get up and get ready for work. I get up and walk to my closet and pull out my work clothes leaving them on the bed as I go shower. I strip out of my clothes and hop right in. After I do my regular routine with my favorite body scrub I rinse off and step out. I dry off and latter my body with the matching lotion and spray and put on a black b*a set. Making my way back to my bed I slip on the collard t-shirt and black shorts. Which is too short for my taste but hey it brings in the tips. I stay in my crocs since my work heels are in my car, and I’ll just change them when I get to work. Once I’m dressed I apply a small amount of eyeliner and mascara, and top it off with some lip gloss. I’m not big on make up since I’ve never learned to do it the way the girls did in school. I keep my hair down but I do run through it again with the straightener. Completely dressed and ready to go I grab my Michael Kors purse from behind my door. Checking it to make sure my wallet and keys are in there. I grab my phone off the dresser and walk to the front door. “Alright babe I’m out, I’ll see you in the morning!” “Why are you leaving so early? It’s only 7:00pm.” She shouts back from her bedroom. “Picking up Dorian, her car won’t start so she needs a ride to work “ I explain as I walk out the door. “Oh okay, well have a good shift. Try not to miss me too much and be safe.” “Always” I state closing the door and locking it behind me. Down the stairs to the parking lot structure, I jump into my 2019 Nissan Altima. It was a graduation gift from dad. I graduated college a few months back receiving associate degrees in child development and business. I know, I’m young to have graduated from college already but let me explain. Right after I graduated high school at the age of seventeen I went straight to college. I did one degree online and the other on campus. Life was so hectic back then but it all paid off. So now I’m working at toxic to make money to pay off my school loans. And hopefully save up enough for my own day care center one day. Yea this girl has goals and dreams. I pull up to Dor’s house within twenty minutes, and I shoot her a text letting her know that I was outside. Ash- “I’m outside babe” Dorian- “Coming down now” she replies back. She comes down about five minutes later and runs to the car. “Hi” she kisses my cheek once she’s always in, I greet her back and pull off. Out of the four of us Dorian’s the most sweetest, most affectionate person I know. She’s only 21 stands about 5’2 and 110 pounds, her hair is jet black and her eyes are brown. She’s black and she’s my best friend, though I see her more as a baby sister. She’s been through so much these past couple years so were all very protective of her. She has a dark past that she really doesn’t like to talk about. So we don’t push her, but when she’s having a bad we’re all there for her. Our whole group is diverse. I’m full blown Hawaiian, Ash is white, Dori is black and John is Asian. We don’t do that race s**t over here, we love everyone unless you mess with us. Then it's a problem. Dori and I talk the whole ride there. She tells me about her day and how her car stopped on her way to the store so she had to have it towed to the mechanic shop. I wish she would let us help her but she’s adamant about getting through life herself. But she will call us for a ride to work if she really needs one. We reach the club about forty-five minutes later. I pull into the parking lot of the club. Parking the car in the back that’s designated for employees only. We get out making the short walk to the back door of the club where only the employees can enter. Club Toxic isn’t one of those sleazy dirty club you might be think about. It’s a place where business deals could be done and you can have a good time after. It’s pretty popular because of the way it’s built. It has three stories to it, there’s a roof section, a business section and then there’s the club scene. Dori works the business/ vip area, that’s on the second level. Ash works the club scene bar and I waitress the club scene on the main floor. Johnathan bartends the roof. Dori will work the floor with me sometimes if her section is dead or super slow. We punch in the code to open the back door and go in. We put our things under the counter as we get ready to start our shift. “Okay babe see you on my lunch” She says while she hugging me goodbye. She walks up stairs to the second level as I say tell her “see you then babe.” A few hours into my shift things started to pick up, but it’s always gets this busy on tequila Tuesday’s. Tequila shots are only $1.50 today. I walk up to the bar as I put in my orders. “I need three apple martinis and six tequila shots” I tell the male bartender. Once I collect the drinks I take them to their table. They thank me and tip me five dollars, I say thank you and walk away. That’s how my night goes for the rest of my shift. Alexander We’ve been out all day going to different warehouse that I store my “inventory.” I sell drugs, guns, girls and launder money. I own other legit business too. I have few restaurants and hotels. I actually have a business meeting later today. I’m trying to get into owning clubs as well. I know what you’re thinking what kind of man am I that I would sell women. Well let me explain, I don’t force women into p**********n per se. I just give them an apartment, a car and a spending allowance if they work for me. And if they don’t then I just strip away everything they own to where they don’t have nothing. They aren’t allowed to have boyfriends, husband or kids thought. No time for distractions when there’s money to be made. But I don’t hit them or a***e them like other men do. I take care of them, I make them depend on me so they know if they try and f**k with my money it will all be gone and everything they have will be gone quickly. At the moment we’re at my d**g warehouse, I just got a new shipment that just came in and I wanna make sure everything is good before my men start chopping and distributing the s**t. “Everything is a go Boss” Gio informs me as he walks in to my office I have here. I stand up and walk past him with him on my heels, “perfect” I say making my way to the car. “Where to now Boss” Jake asks while we all load into the cars. “Downtown LA, that club Toxic on Garey Ave” I say as I put my shades back on. We arrive at the club in about an hour or so. We exit the the SUV and head straight to the front entrance. It’s only 9:15 pm and Toxic already has a line going around the building. We hear a couple moans and groans as we skip the line and walk straight in. But I don’t give a damn because what the hell they go do? While Gio, Jake and I go in my security surrounds the building. I have enemies every can’t get caught with my guard down. We make our way up to the business level, where my meeting is being held. We enter a private section and take a seat as we wait for the other party to show up. The whole layout of this place is perfectly designed. I can understand why it’s so popular. This floor has several private cubicles and gives off a professional business vibe. Different from downstairs, where the real club scene is at an ll time high. The music is softer up here and isn’t as crowded. If you wanted too you could just come up here to have a drink and unwind. Each private second has a square knee level table with four chairs. Two on each side with a small candle in the middle. “I need a drink.” I say to no one in particular which cause Gio and Jake to laugh. Next thing I know the tiniest little thing comes bouncing up to our table. “ Hi! My name is Dorian and I’ll be your server this evening. Can I start you gentlemen off with something to drink?” I stare at her hard she doesn’t even look old enough to drink yet alone working here. She was so small so petite and wears a smile like she never had a bad day in her life. “Jack and coke on the rocks for me” I tell her. “I’ll have a double shot of Hennessy” Jake orders and gives her a seductive wink as she continues to write the orders down ignoring him completely. “Perfect. And for you sir?” She ask finally looking up at Gio. But he doesn’t say anything, he just stares at her. It’s not a perverted stare, it’s more like he’s memorized by her. “Sir?” She calls out to him again. “Oh uhm, I-I’ll have a whisky sour with two cherries.” Okay I’ll be back with your drinks.” She says pouncing away. “You got a little drool on your face.” Jake teased making us both laugh. “No I don’t.” He said wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, just to be sure. Jake and I laugh harder. Shortly after the waitress comes back with out drinks. Taking a hard sip of my whiskey, a pleasurable burn travels down my throat. The three of us make small talk till the club owner finally shows up. “Ah Mr. Parker, it’s a pleasure having you tonight. I hope everything is up to your expectation” he says shaking my hand, as he takes a seat across from me and Giovanni. He’s an older white man probably somewhere in his late fifties. His salt and pepper hair is thin due to his age. He short and is on the verge of having a beer belly. He’s dressed in a gray suit that helps bring out his light brown eyes. “Likewise Mr. White. And I have to say that my expectations indeed has been met.” “So, what can I do for you?” He questions. “Well Benjamin I want to buy your club.” I say more as a demand than an offer. He looks at me with a confused look on his face. “My club? With all due respect Mr. Parker my club is not for sale.” My frustration starts to get the best of me. I’m use to just getting what I want the first time around. Never really having to ask for something twice, because everyone is terrified of making me mad. I sit up straight and lean forward, “Well I want to buy it anyways, so how much is it going to cost me? Just name your price.” We stare at each other for a second before he begins to speak again. “Again Mr. Parker with the up most respect, but my club not up for sale. You can not have my club.” He sits up straight trying to put on his bravest face. I smile at him finding him amusing with his little act. “Listen either you sell your club to me or I can simply open a club next door and put you out of business completely. Leaving you with nothing but a memory of what your club use to be.” I sit back and cross my leg over the other and swallow the last of my drink. “You can’t do this, this club has been in my family for over twenty years.” “I can and I will” I smirk knowing I’ve already won. I can see he’s weighting his options knowing that I could put him out of business tomorrow. “Give me a few days to think it over.” I stand up as the waitress brings us another round before skipping off. “You have till Friday” I inform him and place a hundred on the table taking my new drink with me. We make our way down to the main level but not before Gio runs up to the server and places another hundred in her hand and winks at her. I chuckle and shaking my head and walk down the stairs. I take a look around my new club and start to envision what it will look like, and the changes I will be making. As I’m looking around I notice this girl, no this woman. But that’s all I’m able to get because she’s gone all too soon. Wanting to go after her but I had other business matters to attend too, so I shake her out of my mind and head out.
