"What do you mean you're at my front door?" Maguire exclaimed, his eyes darting to Natalie.
"I'll explain everything later. Just let me in, it's freezing out here!" Lilith's voice came through the speaker, loud and clear. Maguire bit back a curse, wishing he could send her away without opening the door.
What the hell was she doing in his house? He ended the call without responding to her. In the sudden silence, Maguire and Natalie just stared at each other, neither one saying a word. Maguire's heart was pounding in his chest, and he could feel the tension in the air.
Finally, Natalie spoke. "What's she doing here?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I have no idea. Let's not mind her, she'll leave when she's tired," Maguire said, trying to cool Nat
