CHAPTER 62
MAGUIRE’S POV
After leaving Natalie with Bridget in the hallway, I headed to the lecture hall for my next class. The Head of Department soon arrived, bearing news from the professor. He wouldn't be able to teach class that morning, due to a family emergency.
A collective groan rippled through the class, and I was elated to hear the news. I didn't waste any time rushing out of the lecture hall to find Natalie. It had only been about twenty minutes since I'd left her, but I already missed her so much.
I hurried to the hallway, only to find Bridget there, alone. She was leaning against the wall, her head bowed low. There was no sign of Natalie, and a knot of worry twisted in my stomach. I approached Bridget slowly.
