“What did you just say about Maguire?” I asked her. I'm sure the first one she said was a slip of tongue. Maybe she didn't mean to say it.
“He is a dangerous and ruthless psychopath. You should stay away from him if you want your stay in this university to be peaceful and worth it.” She warned.
What the heck did she mean by that? Why was she talking like Maguire was a horrible person? How can she say my stepbrother is a ruthless and dangerous psychopath?

“Why did you say that?” I asked to know the reason she would be harsh to that extent? The Maguire I know isn't a bad person. He must have been rude the day we first met, but being close to him has made me realize that he was a good person.
