CHAPTER 3

Remember Too Much POV: Aria I landed on the ground. It doesn't have any glass. There are jerks in my body, and I feel like I'm still falling. I put my hand to my chest and wait for something sharp to cut me and hurt me. Absolutely nothing. Stay away from the blood. The skin around my body is not broken in any way. Simply air. Truthful, hot, and alive. I get tense. There is a mistake there. It was going to end badly for me. I distinctly remember it. The weight of my body hitting the table broke it, and the world changed as my blood fell to the floor. I recall their looks. Relaxed. Being aware. Departing. My throat gets sore. Not at all... The word definitely sounds strong. The strength is too high. Not fragile. Won't fade. Solid. Though my hands are shaking from pressing down on the smooth floor, I slowly lift myself up. No problems. Not bad for slipping. No red. I looked all over the room. That place is not here anymore. The walls are not hard or white. With the blinds pulled back, light pours in. No longer is the air thick like it was that night; it smells clean now. It makes me spin around. Comfortable bed. The window that reflects. This small desk is near a window. I'm familiar with this room. The room I sleep in. Unfortunately, not tonight. Earlier. Once more, my heart beats fast. "No... that doesn't make sense..." I quickly get up and run to the mirror. The girl who was looking at me back- I recognise her. I am not the same person though. Her face feels softer. She looks like she is not scared at all. So far not yet. I gradually raise my hand. She also does that. Alright. Merely putting my hand on my chest. My heart beats fast. Please hurry up. Nevertheless. Inhale. Right now I'm standing. There is no such thing as death. The door got hit with a loud noise. I shake. Not easy. "Aria?" is what someone calls out. I start to breathe again. I'm familiar with that voice. I'd know it anyplace. Valerie. It hurts my stomach. Another time, she says, "Aria, open the door." This time, she is quieter. "We're behind schedule." Overdue? Why is that the case? Fast thinking. Suddenly—It clicks. The papers. The gathering. Starting. Turning slowly to the wall. That's where the pristine calendar hangs. I keep looking at the date. Friday, June 14. My hand shakes as I get closer. fourteenth of June. A year before I passed away. It's tilting. "No," I whisper. "Not possible... But I'm here now. exist. Prior to everything going bad. Once more, the knock comes. “Better. "Hear me, Aria. "This is real," Vanessa says. Tell them to open the door. It interests me. In front of the switch. In front of that door is the same girl who saw me bleed. Someone who smiled. It makes my fingers ball up into fists. But things are different this time. That has to be it. The drawer was open, so I quickly went to the desk and pulled it open. This is where the file is. Nice and clean. Prepared. There is my name on the front. There is tightness in my chest. I pick it up and unfold it. I read words I had never seen before on these pages. Sounds like a good line. I should have known better now. It's hard for me to keep my eyes on the page. Title. Give Control. It hurts my stomach. Now this is the one Go to Step 1. This is the trap. There is a pen on top of it. Holding on. Similar to before. I grip it tighter. This time, not so much. Things move on the handle. Aria, we're on our way in, Vanessa. After closing the file, I put it back in the drawer. It is too late now. In lateness. Opening the door. Welcoming her like it's hers. It seems like she runs the show. She gives a soft smile. Insufficiently soft. "That's you," she answers. "You waited so long? What the hell?" I do not answer. I look at her endlessly. Seriously, look. The same look. Similar eyes. That is, I see it now. How she seems to be. How she stays waiting. The woman tilts her head and says, "You look funny." "No problems?" No, me? I died, and then I came back. I recall everything. However, I do not say that. "I just woke up," I answered. This is how I talk: quietly. Surprised me. Her steps get closer. Be careful not to sleep in too late today. "Concise. Notable. I have a little laugh. The question "Is it?" This is what I say. She thinks for a moment. Later smiles again. “Go ahead. "Ethan is there." When I heard his name, it hurt like a slap. What about Ethan? I had loved that man. Whoever it was who left me to die. After swallowing, I say, "I'm not ready." Somewhat less happy she smiles. "What do you suggest?" Actually, I'm not going. Relaxed. It feels like there is less space in the room. "Don't joke around like that," she says slowly. "I'm not kidding." Right now she is looking at me. She tells me in a soft voice, "You've been waiting for this." "What is distinctive?" Totally. "Let me read the papers first," I say. The way she looks changes. Nothing special. Not necessary. "You don't have to." This is what she says. We already told you all that. "I nonetheless wish to read them." Somewhat narrowed, her eyes. She softly calls out, "Aria." "Are you sure you trust us?" She has eyes that I look into. Thought about saying yes for a moment. Similar to before. Usually. Thereafter, I remember the glass. It was blood. It was her voice. Your presence was always a bother. My chest tightens up. There is a pause after I say "No." Solid. Really. Vanessa holds up. Would you pardon me? That's right, I say it again. She no longer has any smile on her face. Her voice is lower as she says, "Don't do this." Brighter. “I’m not going to start anything,” I say. Saying "I'm stopping it" Today's quiet is different. Don't feel calm. Not soft at all. Shocking. Approaching me slowly, she walks. “You're acting strangely,” she tells him. Take care of it. Somewhat I shake my head. “Not a chance.” She closes her eyes. It's very clear for the first time. Not my sister anymore. Nevertheless, someone else. Someone hipper. "What are you doing?" she asks. She has eyes that I look into. Saying "I do" My heart beats fast. It's not that I look down. Unfortunately, not this time. Not one more time. "You're not talking sense," she says. Possibly. But I own it. I go directly to the door, skipping her. I put my hand around the control. She talks to me from behind and says, "Aria." I hold up. There's no way back. She whispers, "You won't be able to stop what's coming if you leave now." I tighten. Okay, good. Give it a break. I allow myself to go in. Lots of light comes in. brand new and bright. Unusual. Allow me to go. And this time I pick something else. "Won't fix it," I say. It sounds like my voice is even. Extremely cold. No problem.Don't do that anymore.
