17- The Painful Past

I woke with a bad omen. The start of the day itself was bad. Waking up with a nightmare, a very horrific memory of Richard torturing me made my day pretty bad. I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. It felt like my life took a complete turn, taking me back to the time Richard was my guardian. I looked at myself in the mirror, to remind me that I am free now. That I was no longer his captive. My eyes looked dull, almost dead. There was nothing but emptiness in them. It was like I was surrounded by oblivion, my mind was not in the right state. My body was abnormally calm today. I was numb.
