She braced herself ,exhaling shrply. Bringing alongside a noepad, she made her way out of the kitchen . Her social anxiety wasn’t making it easy for her as heads of sweat gathered on her forehead. She gulped the moment she caught sight of the large number of people situated at the restaurant . She didn’t even want to get started with the ones that sat outside as a result of the scarcity of seats . Yes , Willie was that popular.Ben one of biggest most affordable and efficient restaurants in carlifornia, every average person living around , went there regularly.

Laura walked t the first table that was closest to the kitchen . She brought out a pen from her apron pocket, looking up to take the order of the customer.The moment she saw it was, she almost erupted in laughter .There he was grinning intently at her, at the same time throwing elbow flashes at her. She mentally facepalmed herself as she looked at him tiredly/

‘’Are you planning on getting me fired?’’

‘’Now why would I?’ He smirked faking a british accent.

‘’Then what are you doing her?’’ Laura whispered , looking around , looking for whom to devour.

‘’I came to have coffee’’ he said leaning back in his seat.

Laura looked at him in disbelief as he kept on going .The offer was tantalizing but she wasn’t buying it. She needed money and that was her ultimate priority but she couldn’t just jump on the offer just because it had good terms.

‘’So what do you think?’’ the gentleman infront of her asked , snapping his fingures in her face bringing her back from little doubt paradise . He must have realized she wasn’t listening .

‘’Who is getting married ?’’she said and that was the first statement that made its way out of her mouth after a long time of silence.

‘’And he wants a wife, only for a year, why?’’

‘’Reasons best known to him’’ he said , staring intently at her

‘No s****l intimacy?’’

‘’I already stated that.’’

‘’Why me and how did you find me’’

‘’I have been to 16 restaurants in the past 2 days .’’

‘’searching for a girl?’’

‘’Exactky.’’

‘’Why didn’t you pick one from the sixteen restaurants yove been to’’

‘’It pretty hard to convince people who live in carlifornia.’’

‘’And you just think I looked stupid enough .’’

‘’don’t get me wrong. You fit the description, that’s all.’’

Laura hit an empty can that laid by the roadside with her purse strapped firmly across her shoulders , letting her childishness surface for a while . With squinted eyes, she looked across the street observing the busy nature of carlifornia. The wind tha blew rapidly , causing her hair to fly in various drections , guaranteed that the storm was coming and this one of the numerous reasons she hated spring.

The reality the she got fired from her job hadn’t hit her yet as she walked down the street without emitting a single emotion .Truth be told , she didn’t feel down as a result of the scenario , instead , she felt relieved and less suffocated than she had felt , for years ,while working at Willies.

The main reason why she was out there without a life , crested her mind and she frowned abruptly. Anger cursed through her as she thought of him. He was the one who got her in that mess in the first place.
