Sometimes a high-pitched shrill would slice the silence when one would bite another with its tongue. But somehow the wild herd keeps to its boundaries, propped tightly from each side by a few rows of organised lizards with golden accessories. The largest division of this army is spread wide to the horizon and at the first glance it looks like a slimy, moving brown mass. Only looking closer, I’m able to see the tangled mess of millions and millions of brown worms, sliding, crawling over each other.
