“Hello, Ariel”.
I freeze to the spot at the familiar melodic voice behind me. The fresh scent of lily of the valley knocks the air out of me, sending my heart into overdrive.
She’s here! She’s here!
On stiff legs, I turn around and stumble, taking two frightened steps back at the sight of a glorious warrior of God in front of me. Pictures of angels like her were drawn by every generation since the dawn of time and on each one, these soldiers of God were as magnificent as the one before me.
Her pure-white, large wings are spread wide behind her back. The sun, seeping through the limitless sky above, reflects and twinkles off her polished, silver armour. Her blonde hair shines like a halo around her head.
