Chapter 22 MARILYN I don’t want to let Jesse out of my sight. Foolishly, it feels like the insatiable attorney will disappear if I do, vanish into whatever rugged perfection he came from. He lies on the gigantic bed, looking at me, and under the light of the rising dawn, the sleepy city horizon waking up over us out the flawless window, his stare laps lingeringly over my naked body, making me want to pull him into the recesses of my body for round five. But duty calls. A fact that Jesse sleepily reminds me. I roll my eyes. “If we don’t get up soon, we’ll miss it,” he warns softly. “The wedding is this afternoon, Duchess.
