Chapter 27 Tyler had to be the one to tell his hunters’ families that the man they loved was not ever coming home. He could have written a letter and had someone read it to them. Or sent a royal messenger to deliver the news on behalf of the king. Or spent the day going for a walk with Shadow to gather his thoughts and plan out his next move. But he felt that telling the families himself was necessary to show respect and tribute to the good men who had died. He stood like a rock and let the wives pound on his chest and slap him.
