Before Kendrick could decide how to handle the newborns or discuss Layla’s lookalike openly, he knew he needed to speak with Wyatt. Even in death, Layla remained the common enemy of the entire pack, and her name brought up terrible memories for many—especially Wyatt and Rylee.
When Wyatt returned home from work that night, his only thought was to spend time with Rylee and their pups before dinner. However, the moment he stepped into the packhouse, Kendrick cornered him by the door.
“Bro. We need to talk,” Kendrick stated.
“Okay. Give me ten minutes to—”
“Sorry, Wyatt, but it needs to happen now,” Kendrick said gravely.
“Ken, you know I like to spend a few minutes with Rylee and the kids before dinner,” Wyatt responded, annoyed.
