Adam and Kayla never planned on getting a cat, but ended up with one anyway. After moving in to the old farmhouse, they noticed a pair of eyes watching them from beneath a hedge in the garden.
Kayla was the gardener, though she’d never been very good at it – she wanted outside space, fresh air, and the perfect place to raise kids.
So Kayla ‘designed’ the garden; dressed in dungarees and sunglasses, drinking a glass of wine and giving instructions to Adam, who ended up doing all the hard work. While the cat’s unspoken presence became familiar, the first tiny seedling of a family.
