The Colonizer Enemies
Cindy Marmott stared at the 9 o’clock morning news with a Cheeto hanging out of her gaping mouth. That morning she wore her “comfies”, the expansive sweats and 2XL white t-shirt that signaled she had hit rock bottom. She had dropped off her kids at school, and it wasn’t until she saw a beam of resplendent grey-blue light pierce the White House on the screen that she ran faster than her 180 pound, five-foot-two frame should allow. She was an unstoppable fat force. She was going to save them from the alien threat as she sped down the five blocks to West Academy School. A man watering his front lawn gave her an enthusiastic, “You’re doing a great job!” shout for her running.
