Confused Feelings , Pain and Truth

Saraphina's POV:-
Even when I've hurt him the most this fool is still flirting with me . I look at the burnt hand prints of his hand , the dark circles under his eyes and the big purple bruise on the left side of his chest , I can't help but hate myself for hurting someone so bad.
May be he was also feeling the same emotions I was feeling at that moment...... May be what he wanted to say was only 'I like you' or something like that and his brain didn't cooperate and all that came out was 'mine'.
I sigh and look into his eyes to find him stairing at me. "A penny for your thoughts , sweetheart ." he said smiling lazily at me.
Damn ! That smile is infectious....it slowly spread across my lips too. He tried to sit up I stopped him and gently layed him on the bed. "Easy now Tiger. You still need to heal." He literally growled at me. I look up at him faking a surprise; " Did you just growl at me?" . He shrugged ;" Maybe."
I couldn't help but burst out laughing and he joined me. He patted on the bed beside him , " Come join me." he said smirking at me. "Nice try." I replied scooting a chair and sitting beside him.
For a split second hurt flashed through his eyes before they turned serious. "I am sorry. " he said . "Huh?" I asked surprised . What the Hell is he sorry for ?.... "I shouldn't have called you mine." he continued ; " Look I like you....really really like you but I shouldn't have called you mine... I am sorry. I really am."
I gently touch his hand , " Please don't.... I am the one who should apologize....look what I did to you." I whispered , " I almost killed you." "But I am not dead , right? he asked ." You could have been ." I replied back. " It doesn't matter " he broke in. "Can we start over?" he had so much hope in his eyes . "Yes." I replied.
His face lit up with the most beautiful smile before it turned into a groan. "You need to rest." I said running my fingers through his head and soon he was fast asleep.
I leaned back into the chair , closed my eyes and thought back at all the events which led me here sitting beside a stranger's bed . I was pulled out of my head by the sound of small sobs.
The sobs and whimpers were comming from the man sleeping in bed. I gently touched his arm , he felt too hot to touch.
He hurt so much that he had fever. I climbed on to the bed and wrapped my arms around him. The sobs stopped and soon we were both sound asleep.

I woke up to someone running their finger through my hair. Panic creeped in even before I opened my eyes. I jerked myself away and in the process ended up a*s first on the floor.
"Omph."
"Jesus! Saraphina. Are you alright?"
I opened my eyes to see the concerned face of a very beautiful man, looking down at me from the bed. Events of the past few days came flooding to my mind . I rubbed my eyes and started laughing.
He got down from the bed and then pulled me up to sit beside him. I turn to look at him...............Fuck me! This man not only has a preety face but a gorgeous body too. Heat creeps up my face and I am sure my cheeks are the colour of ripe tomatoes.
He must have noticed it . He quickly pulled the covers , covering him from waist below.
"I am sorry I didn't realize I was just in my birth suit." , he said blushing. I don't know what came over me , what I said next surprised the hell out of me. "I am not complaining."
As soon as the words left my mouth , I gasped , covered my mouth and looked up at him to explain myself. He was looking at me with an arched eyebrow and then burst out laughing. I joined him , this sure lowered the tension. There was a knock at the door.
"Come in at your own risk. " we both said in union.
"Is everything alright?" asked Simon walking into the room followed by a worried Elisa; " We herd some one fall."
His eyes were glued to me as I told them the events of last night and this morning.
"So , how are you? " asked Simon turning to Matthew. "Great! I don't even have a scratch anymore." "Great!" said Elisa .She added "Saraphina come with me I'll give you something to change into before we start the breakfast."
I nodded and followed her out of the room.
