Miracle
The tears froze on my cheeks as my mouth gaped at the sudden, painful thrust of something metal-like into my back. Even my hands, once holding onto my father, loosened, causing his lifeless body to fall to the ground. My gaze dropped to my chest as the edge of the sword penetrated through me.
"Hope!" I heard a familiar voice call—it was Theron. However, the shock from the stab rendered me frozen. Eventually, I tasted the metallic blood in my mouth, trying to understand what had happened.
Suddenly, the sword was pulled out causing my body to convulsed, and blood immediately gushed from my chest. My mind was in complete disarray as I reached out, feeling the fresh wound.
