Cam POV
I have been dreading this day for a long time.
I never thought that I would take the Alpha position, and here I am about to claim what should have been mine by right had we not merged packs. Looking at Melody though, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I close the door to my room and pull my cell phone out. I take a breath and dial my mother.
On the third ring, she answers. “Cam, my sweet boy, how are you?”
“Mother, I am fine. I am calling with good news.” I take a breath and quickly continue. “I am a newly mated Alpha wolf with a pack.” I hear her intake of breath. “I want to claim the position of Alpha in our territory.”
