She looks hesitant, so I step forward. “I would like to walk with you too. I can carry your things.”
Cam leans down and whispers in her ear. When she shivers, my nose catches the unmistakable scent of arousal. That’s odd. Whatever he said must have turned her on. I have to fight back the surge of jealousy I feel. I can’t let it show, or I’ll scare her off again.
“Fine.”
It’s short and clipped, but it’s progressing.
I hurry to grab her things while Legion takes her hand.
