The already too close walls of the cell started to close in on me, letting me have less and less oxygen. My chest heaved trying to draw enough in so that my body would feel satisfied, but it wasn’t working. It didn’t feel like enough, and my head spun.
Vera sighed like her patience had finally run out. “Alright, Mason. I guess she’s left us with no other option. What do you want to do?”
“They’re not going to get away with this,” he said darkly from behind her.
