No I Don’t Want To Go!

“Please Artemis, help me save them.”

“I’m sorry my love there’s nothing we can do their already gone.”

“Princess wake up it’s not real. PRINCESS wake up. CRYSTAL WAKE UP!!!”

“Nooooooooooo”

It’s a dream, a horrible memory I try to forget every day. I haven’t been able to sleep for the past week. Every single time I close my eyes, I picture it. The smell of blood from miles away, the bodies there were so many bodies, my parents, my people dying and in agony.

I’m in a deep sleep replaying my horrible memory when I’m being woken up by screaming and a lot of shaking. I wake up screaming the word no with my heart beating a thousand miles an hour. I don’t look at who is sitting on my bed and who woke me up from my sleep, all I think is that I need the toilet. I jump off the bed running to the bathroom to vomit. I lean over the toilet with one hand hold my long straight chocolate brown hair and the other one hanging on the toilet so my head doesn’t fall right in. And that’s when I feel him. His dominance, his smell, his worry, he comes behind me hunches over to grab my hair and rubs my back try to sooth me.

“It’s ok princess let it out. I got you”.

My body trembling, my heart is still very unsteady when I feel another hand on my back.

“Its ok little one it’s just a dream. Your ok. Everything is ok. I’ll be right back; I’m going to go get you some chamomile tea.”

I can’t speak all I can do it node my head in between me vomiting in the toilet. With that he leaves my side. I manage to control my urge to keep vomiting and I regain control over my heart beat that I grab a piece of toilet paper to wipe my mouth. I flush the toilet and I put one hand in the sink next to me to push my self off the floor to be able to stand. Lu grabs my waist to help me up. I stand in front of the sink not looking in the mirror in-front me. I begin to brush my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. By the time I finish I’m hit with Mikey’s scent with a hint of chamomile tea.

“I’m leaving it by your bed side little one. It’s very hot so please be careful.”

With that I’m in golfed by a hug and it’s Lu. He bares his head in the crook of my neck in hailing my scent.

“You scared me Lex. You screamed b****y murder! Please don’t ever do that again.”

I feel him relaxing into me and to be honest I kind of like it. He’s always been there when I needed him. They both have. They never judged me or treated me differently even though their parents nearly died because of me. God do I love them so much. Being unable to speak I put one hand in his and one on his cheek nodding my head agreeing to what he said. Next thing I know I’m being turned around with his thumb on my chin trying to force me to look at him.

“Hey look at me.”

I place a hand on his indicating I don’t want too due to me holding back tears.

“I said look at me princess”

“Lu stop it.” I say irritated

“Stop what. I want you too look at me Lex.”

“I said stop it. I don’t want too”

“You don’t want to look at me? Why”

“Hey guys what’s going on? What’s all the yelling about? Little one what’s wrong?”

“Nothing I’m fine. You guys can go back to bed!”

I walk past them trying to get out of my room when I’m greeted with Lucas standing right I front of my door blocking me. f**k I forgot how fast he was.

“Where do you think your going princess?!?”

He said looking down at me sternly. I love his green eyes. They make every girls heart melt and he knew it but I was different, always have been always will be.

“Non of your business Lu” I say looking up at him. Lu is 6’4 and I’m 5’2 so there’s a major height difference. Even though I’m 5’2 I am not one to be underestimated.

“It is my business when your screaming b****y murder at 3 a.m. I’m your beta where ever you go I go!”

“Lu chill man don’t yell at her she hasn’t gotten much sleep and she just puked for like 10 minutes straight. Cut her some slack man.”

If looks could kill, Lu would of killed Mikey.

“Chill you want me chill! You came in after I woke her up. She’s not the only not sleeping properly. You show up after the fact. So shut up Mikey”

“Both of you guys stop it. I have enough s**t going on that the last thing I need are you two bickering. Now I suggest you move out of my way before I move you my self Lu!”

With that they both shut up and Lu steps forward giving me go a head and try to move me but once he saw that I wasn’t backing down he stepped aside. I walk to the lower level with both Lu and Mikey on my a*s. I walk to Dave’s room first. I already hear him snoring. Sure enough I open the door and the first thing I see is my little 14 year old brother snoring up a storm with the cover half off his body with him sleeping in his underwear. I walk into his room, I start rubbing his cheek with my hand and a tear rolls down my face.

“I’d climb every mountain and swim every ocean because you are the reason” I whisper soft. I turn around to walk into Max’s room and then Julius’s room. I redo everything I did to Dave to them and Julius was the only one to wake up.

“Mamas. What what’s going on? Everything ok?” He says in a panicky voice turning on his lamp.

“Yea babe everything is just fine. I just want to check up on you. Go back to bed baby.”

Sammy boy gives me his ok look and gives me a kiss on cheek then lays back in bed.

“ I love you Crystal”

“ I love you too babe.”

I turn off his lamp so I can leave his room. I close the door to his room only to look at Mikey and Lucas with a killer look. I walk quietly back to my room and go directly to my closet.

“Don’t come in unless you want to see me n***d!”

“Where exactly do you think your going” I hear Lucas stating with agitation in his voice. I calmly walk out of my room dressed in a sports b*a with some black shorts in and some running shoes.

“I need to go check the boarders. Don’t worry Lu I’m ok. I just need to double check them myself. Please don’t be mad at me.”

“Little one it’s 3 in the morning the boarders are fine. If people want to even try to attack us then they are on a suicide mission.”

“Just promise me you’ll be careful princess” Lu says lowly

With this I nod my head and give both of my best friends a kiss on the cheek and give them my killer I love you smile. I walk to my window and open it up stepping onto my balcony jumping right off landing right in my feet. To the average person being 5 levels up is pretty high to jump off of but when your a Lycan it’s a piece of cake to say the least.

6 hours later:

Man am I sweaty and exhausted but I needed it. I know what you all are thinking a 6 hour run really. But yes I need it. I needed to run, I needed to go numb, I needed to numb the pain. Nobody can see how broken I am. I’m queen by default. It took me years to get us back to where we are at as a community, as friends, as FAMILY; if people find out my father is dead they will come for the throne. I took the throne from my brothers protect them. I take the hits and it will be like that until the day I die.

Walking into the kitchen I’m greeted by omegas bowing their heads

“Good morning my alpha queen”

“Good morning your majesty”

“Guys please don’t call my by my title. I’m Crystal to all of you guys. The only people who call me by my title are the ones who have wronged me in some way.”

People are not use to calling me by my first name because I’m a royal, not just any royal, I’m THE ROYAL ALPHA QUEEN. Little by little they start apologizing as I walk to the refrigerator to get some water. I just tell them it’s ok and that I still love them. Yes I tell my omegas I love them. I love my pack I tell them when I see them all the time, it’s a natural thing for me to do.

As I’m drinking my water I heard my uncle Lucas. He was my fathers beta and was mine as well for a couple of years until Lu his only child took the role as my beta.

“There you are sweet heart! Where have you been? We have been looking everywhere for you princess. Guys I found her!”

“Sorry tio, Iv been out on boarder patrol” As I’m talking to my uncle, Lu marches in looking pissed off and agitated and putting his too sense in my conversation.

“She’s been out there since 3 in the morning! You said you were going to come back!”

“Princess you were out on patrol since 3 in the morning. You can’t be out there without anyone with you, you know better”

As I’m being scolded by both my uncle and my best friend walking is my tia Lisa and my aunt Marisol; my tia Lisa is my uncle Luca’s wife and my tia Marisol is my uncle Xavier’s wife (he was my fathers gamma then he was mine until his son Mikey took over).

“Crystal Alexus where have you been it’s 9 in the morning. Ooh my god just look at you all sweaty and filthy. Get your butt in the shower right now. Your dress fitting is going to start in 15 minutes!”

“Oooooo she used your legal name!” I hear my little brother Dave say as he’s walking into the kitchen.

“I’m sorry tia Lisa and tia Marisol I needed to go for a run and to check the boards. I didn’t mean to worry anyone.”

My aunts just look at me shaking their heads because they understand why I had to check the boards. Every brushes me off to go shower.

As I’m getting into the shower my nightmare reply’s in my head. I can still smell the blood to the point of tasting it. I can hear the screams. So many people scream from pain, anger, and sadness. As I stand underneath the shower I let the hot water hit me and I start crying like when I was 7 years old. That’s when I hear her.

“It’s ok sweet heart. It was just a dream.”

“No Artemis it wasn’t just a dream! It was reality. I lost so many people because of who I am because of what I am. I can still hear the screams”

“Just hum with me and we can help take some of the pain away.”

“No I don’t want to hum. I want this to be a bad dream that I’ll wake up from. I wish my life was nightmare that I could wake up from.”

As I’m arguing with my Lycan I hear a knock on the bathroom door.

*Knock. Knock*

“Mija you almost done? We need you for the fitting ”

It’s my tia Lisa

“I’m almost done give me 5 minutes”

With that she exits my room and Artemis chimes back in.

“Enjoy this dress fitting you deserve to have some fun”

“Yea well I beg the differ. I’ll talk to you later”

With that I cut the mind link, turn off the shower and wrap my hair in a towel and my body in another one. Walking in front of my large mirror I wipe the sweat from it and I see my reflection. My eyes are swollen and red, my caramel smooth skin is pale. I look drained and exhausted, even the bags under my eyes have bags. I decided to stop dwelling on my looks and go get dressed because if I don’t my aunt will come back into my room and drag me out there in my towel. I pick out some comfy grey cotton shorts with a pink comfy shirt. As I’m coming closer to one of the other rooms I start hearing a lot of loud talking and laughing. I open up the door to see a glass of champion both my aunts hands and I see both my uncles, my brothers, with my beta and gamma in some very nice suites. Realizing that nobody felt my presence I decided to speak

“You guys look great.”

Everyone turns around to look at me and bows their head.

“Guys seriously we have gone over this. There’s no need to bow. We’re family. So please stop it.”

Everyone looks at me and nodes that when Mikey decides to say something stupid he’s always the jokester of the group

“Man little one we really need to put a bell on you so we know where your at all times.”

“Hahahahah your funny Mikey. How about you start taking training seriously instead of goofing off. Maybe you can learn a thing or two.” With that I stick my tongue and walk over to my boys.

They look amazing. I’m on the verge of tears when they all engulfed me in a giant hug.

“It’s ok sis. Don’t cry, there’s nothing to cry about” I nod my head acknowledging their words.

While I’m talking to my brothers, I’m blind folded and pushed into a changing room by my aunts. Everyone has been acting weird lately. It’s 2 days before my 15th birthday and I want absolutely nothing for it. Everyone including my three younger brothers have been trying to convince me to have sweet 15 which in the Latin community it’s when a girl becomes a women. It’s a whole big traditional party and I don’t want it. I’m out in this big puffy gown that weights almost nothing. I have no idea what it looks like. I walk out into the room where my uncle Lucas, uncle Xavier, Lu, Mikey, and my brothers are at and the room goes absolutely silent. I’m being guided to what seems like the middle of the room by my tia Lisa and and that’s when she removes the blind fold. Everyone is looking at me with this face of approval, and satisfaction.

“Ooh darling you look stunning.” My tia Lisa says as she walking over to me.

“She’s right sweet heart. Absolutely gorgeous. If anyone try’s anything at this party they will be remind who I am” My uncle Xavier states. He’s always been very overly protective of me.

“You look amazing mama’s.”

“I really like that color on you sis. You look great.”

“You look great Crystal. I really like it”

All my brothers compliment me including Mikey but I notice Lu is off to the side looking out the window like he’s in his own world. I walk over to him and place a hand in his shoulder causing him to turn around. There are those lovable green eyes again.

“Hey you ok!”

“Yea I’m fine.”

As soon as those words leave his mouth I give him my your bullshitting me look while my right eyebrow lifts up. He starts to laugh with his hands in his pockets and looks to the floor.

“You always have to make it difficult to stay mad at you don’t you princess”

“Why are you mad at me. What did I do now!?” I ask all confused

He engulfs me in a big hug putting his head in the crook of my neck lifting me off my feet only to spin me. He puts me down onto my feet only to whisper “you look absolutely stunning princess.” With that he makes me blush. I turn around looking down at my dress and it’s a light soft pink rose gold color with flowers made out of gems at the bottom with a sweet heart neckline. Where the f**k am I going in this dress.

“Ok so can someone please explain to me where I’m going and why your all in suits!?!?” I asked everyone that’s in the room.

“ princess remember I told you we are going to a ball in Florida. One of the alpha kings there is having their annual ball and we were invited.” My uncle Lucas says and everyone agrees with him playing it cool.

“Why am I just finding this out now. I should of been told earlier”

“I’m sorry princess you have been really busy and stressed out I didn’t want to add another thing to your list”

Rubbing my temples I just nod my head.

“Ugh so that means we are leaving tonight right. Are we driving or flying.”

“We are driving sweetheart.”

“Then we should of left a couple of days ago. And plus do I have to go!?!? Why can’t I just stay home.”

“No we are all going we were requested by the by King himself. So go get changed we are leaving in 2 hours.”

“Who is this king and why is he requesting us anyway! Who does he think he is. Plus I don’t have to do anything I don’t want for my birthday. His party lands on my birthday that’s a he problem not mine. Please uncle Lucas please don’t make me go.”

“Sweet heart I understand it’s your birthday the day of his party but you have to go and don’t give me those puppy eyes they won’t work this time young lady”

“But uncle Lucas I don’t want too. Uncle Xavier please don’t make me go. I really just want to stay home please.”

Looking at my uncle on the verge of crying my uncle Xavier walks up to me giving me a big hug.

“Baby girl you need to go I know you don’t want too but you deserve to go out and have fun. Just this one time ok princess.”

“But I don’t want too. What’s the name of this king. I’m going to give him a call and tell him I’m not going.”

“Mmmmmphm, you need to go sweet heart. Your uncle Lucas is right. I know you don’t want to but as a royal you need to go especially when you where requested”

With tears falling down my cheek I nod my head agreeing. I hate going out around my birthday. I hate going out period I don’t like leaving my people especially after everything.

It’s been 2 hours since the dress fitting and we are all in separate cars. I’m with my uncle Lucas and his family with Sam and Max. Dave is with my uncle Xavier and his family. We start our long drive to Florida or so I was thinking. I’m so upset that I had to leave. Like why, why do I have to go! When I see this dam king I’m going to give him a piece of my mind. Making me go when I don’t want to too. I’m in my own world when I feel a hand on my thigh squeezing it. And Lu mind linking me.

“You need to relax. Your too tense. Why don’t you want to go? Iv never seen you this stubborn before.”

I just shrug my shoulders

“What do you mean you don’t know. There’s always a reason for the way you act. So that’s load of s**t and you know it”

My eyes start to water so he pulls me in for a tight hug and I’m resting my head on his big broad chest inhaling his scent. God he smells like the woods with a hint of ocean. He kisses the top of my head and starts rubbing the side of my cheek. He knows exactly how to relax me.

“What’s on your mind princess. You know you can always talk to me”

“It’s nothing Lu. I’m fine don’t worry about it”

“you saying not too worry makes me worry”

“Then I don’t know what to tell you. Do whatever you want”

“Your lucky your cute because if not I would have kicked your butt a long time ago”

“Your being an ass.”

“Hahahah how am I being an a*s. Im trying to make you feel better.”

“You just said you would kick my a*s if I wasn’t cute. Which means you would of kicked my ass.”

“Princess you know I was just playing with you. Come here”

Lu sits me on his lap luckily my brothers are knocked out cold and his parents are in the front part of the black suburban and we are in the third row. He puts his head in my neck and starts to in hail my scent he likes doing this a lot and to be honest I don’t mind it at all; I do the same to him. He starts to rub my arm up and down causing goose bumps with one of his hands and uses the other to stabilize me on his lap.

“I love you princess I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings”

“I know. I love you Lu. Mmmmm that feels good.”

“Your making you sleepy face.”

“Shhhhh no I’m not. Let me be”

“Hahaha ok I’ll let you sleep”

“Love you Lu”

And with that I drift off into a deep sleep.
