Our Last Day

“Hot hot hot hot hot! Why does the sand have to be so hot?”

“Maybe because the sun is hitting it.” I hear Max telling Sam

We all find a spot on the beach that isn’t too close to the water but also not too far and is big enough for the 8 of us. The boys help Alice and I fix our spot and once everything is done I actually start paying attention to my surroundings and holy crap there’s a lot of wolfs and Lycans at the beach.

“Ok I’m going in the water who’s coming with!”

“I’m in.” Sam says

“Wait! Before you guys go in let me put some sun block on you guys”

“We are not babies sis we can do it our selves” I hear Dave telling me

I c**k my eye brow at my brothers and they start putting sunblock on themselves. Man the older they all get the more of a pain the a*s they are but they are my pain in the a*s so I guess it’s ok. I don’t know if it’s a guy thing or if it’s a alpha royal blood thing or maybe it’s both at this point. I see them pick up the football and take it with them into the water with Mickey and Lu.

“Do you guys need anymore help?” AJ asks

“Ummm no I don’t think so. You can go with the guys Alice and I will catch up.”

“Hey Lex can you put some sunscreen on my back I don’t reach” Alice asks me

“Yea sure come here”

“You sure you girls don’t need any help?”

“AJ go with the guys we will be there in a sec” I tell him with smile.

AJ reluctantly walks to where the rest of the guys are and I feel a little sad that he isn’t with me. What’s going on with me? Why am I being so clingy with AJ? I’m in the middle of my thoughts when Alice starts talking nonsense

“You know he likes you right”

“What who does?”

A slaps her hand on her head

“AJ duh who else!”

“What AJ dose not like me. He’s like Lu and Mickey. All they do is flirt and be over protective”

“That might be true but it’s different. With him”

“How is it different”

“Because he hasn’t stopped looking at you since we got here. He would take a bullet for you. I mean we all would but he truly cares about you. You can see it in his eyes”

I look at AJ who is looking at me with love and passion that all I can do I smile and blush

“And you like him too. Because if you wouldn’t you wouldn’t be blushing the way you do.”

I roll my eyes at her statement. After helping A out and finishing up our little area I start to take off my shirt and my shorts. As I’m taking my stuff off I hear whistles from different guys and I hear Mickey screaming at me from the water saying that I look hot and AJ hits him in the head with the football. I laugh at their interaction with each other.

“Omg I totally love your bathing suit”

“Thanks I got it from that one store next to Francesca’s”

“It’s really cute and your body is amazing”

“Thanks”

My face blush’s at her comment about my body a little. I don’t consider myself that pretty, I say I’m average. I mean I have browns eyes and long straight brown hair with curves that aren’t all that.

“Hey you ok” A asks me getting me out of my thoughts

“Yea I’m fine why?”

“You zoned out for a minute”

“Oh I’m sorry I was just thinking about a couple of things”

“Mhmmmm sure.”

“Im fine I promise”

“Ok. But seriously you look hot. I would kill for your body. Your butt is popping and your boobs are amazing. You sure they are real”

I laugh at her statement when I feel it, I feel his presence. I turn my head and I lock eyes with the bluest eyes ever and it looks like they have a little green in them. He smells amazing it smells like the woods but with a hint of rain. It’s calming. Artemis is going insane in my head. He looks familiar where have I seen him before; but dam he’s hot. He smirks at me a little making me blush and making me bite my bottom lip.

Artemis: “MATE! He’s our mate!”

Me: “WHAT!!! That’s impossible I’m only 15. I’m not suppose to find my mate until I’m 18.”

Artemis: “Remember you shifted at the age of 7, which means that we are able to find our mate sooner than most. Now go with our mate”

Me: “What about AJ? I can’t Artemis. What if our mate doesn’t want us once he find out about my parents and about my powers.”

Artemis: “ Our mate is a powerful Lycan. He will use us for good. I can feel it Crystal and AJ will understand”

During my conversation with Artemis I see her. A tall blond with blue eyes fair skin and she kisses my mate. My heart sunk and tears were ready to flow down my face that I had completely forgotten that A was next to me. I had Artemis going bonkers in my head. She was trying really hard to come out and rip that blonde’s head off for touching my mate. Since I wasn’t letting her my nose started bleeding.

“OH MY GOD CRYSTAL! Your bleeding!!!”

A says in panic voice. Everyone who knows me knows that the only way for me to get nose bleeds is threw my Lycan and that’s when her and I are at odds and she’s trying to break out.

“Here take this.”

I see AJ and the rest of the guys running towards me.

“What’s going on you ok. Alice what happened?” AJ asked worried

“I don’t know we were talking and next thing I know she’s bleeding”

“Sunshine let me see”

“AJ I’m fine”

“Your bleeding. Your not fine”

“Look it stopped I’m fine so don’t worry”

I finish cleaning myself up and luckily my bathing suit isn’t covered in blood; blood wouldn’t look cute on my cotton candy two piece. I glance at my “so called mate” and give him my I hate you look. I’m doing everything to calm Artemis right now and I need to be distracted I need my boys. I wrap my arms around AJ and look up at him and whisper in his ear:

“Last one in the water is a rotten egg”

I push off him and dart for the water. He’s hot my tail when he picks me up from behind and throws me to Mikey.

“You guys drop me and I’m kicking your asses”

“We won’t drop you little one. Whoops that was a close one” Mikey says pretending to drop me. He and AJ throw me back and forth for a little until AJ throws me in the water.

Shit it’s cold. I come out from under the water and I find Lu, Mikey and AJ staring at me.

“I think you guys have a little something coming out of your mouths.”

Alice tells the three of them laughing.

They all shake their snapping out of it and pretending like nothing happened.

We all swim around and play a couple of games until we started hearing our stomachs growling. But by that time it was already three o’clock.

“Hey sis pass the chips”

“Which ones do you want?”

“Ummm let me get the Salty Lays” Max says.

We eat our lunch and we soak in some vitamin D. As the guys decide to take a nap Alice and I decide to surprise them with some fresh Italian Ice. It’s the last day of us being in Chicago so why not surprise them with something they really enjoy.

“Good afternoon ladies how can I help you?”

“Hi! Can we have 2 mango and strawberries, 1 coconut, 1 lemon and watermelon, 1 all strawberry”

“Sure thing coming right up”

As the man is getting our order in I can feel his presence again and his smell is starting to drive me crazy. But I know better. I know better than to act on impulse. Being a queen Iv had no option but learn how to control myself; Iv also learned how to mask my true lycan scent. People who are either werewolves, vampires, or shape shifter think I’m just a simple she-wolf. Since my parents death my uncles have had me hide my true scent so I would be able to live as normal as possible and not have to worry about something or someone trying to kill me every 20 minutes.

“Here you go miss. Anything else?”

“Yes please. I’ll have 1 mango, 1 lemon and mango, and 1 all watermelon”

“Ok coming right up”

“Thank you. Hey A do you mind taking some of these to the guys we can’t carry all of this in just one trip”

“You want me to go wake them up!?!?!? Do you not remember the last time I woke them up. They all nearly ripped my head off”

“Look wake them up and give them their ice. If they say anything tell them it was my fault”

“Okay but it’s your grave.”

I laugh at Alice’s comment and shake my head when I hear a low growl come from the person next to me. I knew exactly who it was. I looked at him and he looked pissed to say the least. His blue green eyes were so beautiful, if I could swim in them I probably would without a second thought. We both just stood there staring into each other’s eyes until I hear Alice making me break our eye contact.

“You where right. All I had to do was give them their Italian ice and they were happy. Hey you ok?”

“Yea I’m fine. I think the rest of our order is almost done.”

“Excuse me pretty ladies, but since you girls bought a good amount of Italian ice maybe you can help out my friend and I?!?” A ginger haired guy standing next too Mr.Blue eyes said

“It’s all based off of what fruit you like really. I like watermelon and she likes mango and strawberry. You also can never go wrong with the original lemon flavored Italian ice”

“Here you go ladies. The total will be $25.”

“Here you go. Come on A we should get back”

“Wait miss your change.”

“It’s ok keep it. You have a good day”

“Thank you miss” the man says with a big smile on his face.

As Alice and I start walking back to the guys ginger starts running after us leaving blue eyes behind. He invites us over to their spot on the beach and of course Alice had to agree to it for the both of us. I mean what can go wrong; my mate and over protective brothers/best friends in one place. All I know is that I’m not telling the guys this Alice can tell them she agreed to it.

“What took you two so long?”

“Sorry. We were helping out some people pick some Italian ice” Alice says in the sweetest voice possible while I just stuff my mouth with my Italian ice.

“Ok what’s going on with you two. Why are trying to be all innocent and why are you stuffing your mouth with your ice. You keep eating it like that your going to get a brain freeze” Mikey says a little irritated.

“Nothing. There’s nothing going on”

“Spill it NOW ALICE!”

“Ugh fine. Your no fun. We got invited to a different spot on the beach by the people who we helped earlier.”

“Who are these people?!?! Where they guys?!?!?!?!”

“Maybe. Ugh ok fine yes they were. But they were really nice Mikey. Please can we go it’s our last day here please please please please”

“Don’t look at me. I’m ok with it if you guys are ok with it” I tell the boys and I just see Alice’s eyes widen and starts packing all of our things.

We start walking to spot that ginger told us about and it was a private spot on the beach; they even had someone standing outside with a clip board.

“Hi how can I help you guys”

“Hi we were invited by…” Alice trails off trying to find ginger with her eyes.

“There you guys are I was starting to get a little worried. Don’t worry Sherry they’re with us. Come on in guys follow me.” Ginger says in a smooth voice.

As we follow ginger into the private beach spot. I’m a little nervous and it’s become very hard to hide it. AJ senses my tension and holds my hand which makes me even more nervous since my mate and I are going to be face to face again and him seeing me hold hands with another guy, like seriously. What will he think. Ugh

“Hey guys so we have a couple of guests, so these our our friends. These two bone heads here are Casper and Jasper,she’s Abby, she’s Kim, hot head here is Vincenzo, she’s Chelsea, she’s Claire and I’m Liam.”

“Hi, I’m Alice, this is my brother Mikey, that’s Lucas, this is AJ, thats: Max, Saul, Sam, and hey where did she go?”

“Who me!?!” I say sarcastically

“Yes you! This bubble butt here is Crystal”

“ALICE!” Lucas scolds

“What it’s true Lu”

I can feel his eyes burning into me. I glance at him and it’s like he’s having a battle within himself. I c***k a small smile at him and I see him loosen up a little bit. I think the stupid blonde next to him caught our little interaction because she starting clinging on to him like it was the end of the f*****g world. And to be honest I don’t have time for this s**t.

“Hey ginger do you mind if we pick a couple of chairs out to put our things on?” I say a little sterner than expected

“Yea go a head”

“Thank you. Come on guys”

As we walk towards a couple of chairs Sam starts asking me if we can play soccer and of course I agree. I’m on Sam’s team with Lu, and Alice; Mikey has Dave, Max and AJ on his team. Even though we were playing for fun, it started getting intense. At one point I was picked up and taken into the water by Mickey so I wouldn’t make a goal. At the end of the day Sam’s team won. After the game everyone decided to go into the water but I stood behind to study. Iv been working with the pack doctor lately and it’s been great but I need to keep up on my anatomy and physiology if I want to continue to work in the hospital.

“Hey there whatcha reading?”

“Not interested”

“Awww come in sweet heart, there’s no need to be rude. Your name is Crystal right?”

“Look! I’m not your sweet heart or sweet cheeks and what part of I’m not interested do you not understand. Now if you excuse me I have other things I need to do” I said slamming my book closed and walking away from Mr.Creep.

I walk over to where the drinks are to get myself some water when I bump one of the girls I met earlier. We start talking, getting to know each other when the stupid blonde heads our way with a couple of girls. Great just what I needed drama on my last day.

“Hey Abby whose your friend!”

“What do you want Chelsea?”

“Well now that you ask, I do have something on my mind right girls!”

“What Chelsea!?”

“Don’t use that tone with me or I’ll tell Vincenzo. And we’ll I was just thinking how great it is too see that at least someone decided to be the friend of a fat freak”

“WHAT did you just say?!?” I ask irritated a*s hell.

“Awww look girls her friend is upset. Hold on let me speak a little slower and louder so you can fully understand since English isn’t your first language. I SAID SHE IS A FAT FREAK!”

“Look you no good STD carrying s**t, I can speak and understand English perfectly fine and for your information she does have a friend and she’s not a freak but at this point I rather be her friend than have to worry about sharing a drink with you can catching Clams. So why don’t you turn around go back to the hole you crawled out from and take monkey see and monkey do over there with you!”

“You stupid b***h. Your going to regret every single word that came out of that mouth!”

“Hahaha you make me laugh Clams. Come on Abby let’s go you don’t need to inhale infected air” I say pulling Abby to the lawn chair area.

I’m fuming at this point and Artemis is trying to break free I feel it and on top of that I have a bad feeling in my gut. I need my contacts! I talk to Abby trying to control my angry but it’s not really helping much. Abby gets this far away look in her face which means she’s being mind linked and excuses herself. I really hope I didn’t get her in trouble. I can’t seem to find my contacts so I start looking in the guys bag and thankfully Lu has a spare, I put them on and I let Artemis see what I see. I’m still pissed I want to rip that blondes head off but I get the feeling like Iv been found in a bad way. I link Alice, Lu, Mikey and AJ owhat’s going on; Lu and Mikey join me for a run on the beach while AJ and Alice stay behind on guard with my brothers.

Mikey: Do you guys see anything?

Lu: No so far everything is all clear

Mikey: Little one you sure you felt something?

Me: Yes Mikey. It felt like I was playing hide an seek and they found me when they weren’t suppose too.

We run the whole entire beach and nothing, we found nothing. We run it back to where everyone else is at and let them know what happened. Everyone is relieved that there’s nothing but I know in my gut that the feeling I got was bad. I go wash off since I’m full of sweat and since I’m not getting back in the water I decided to wash my hair at least when I hear the squeakiest voice ever.

“Awwww what’s wrong Abby your little friend isn’t here to defend you.?”

“Leave me alone Chelsea”

“Awww look girls little Abby is crying”

That’s it the gloves are f*****g off! I storm towards Abby pushing the blonde away from her. Good thing my contacts are on because Artemis is partially on the surface.

“Didn’t I make it clear earlier to leave her alone! Are you that miserable in your pathetic life that you want to make others miserable with you!”

“Look who we have here. It’s Abby’s bitch.”

“Let me make one thing very clear to you s**t! Don’t ever call me a b***h again because I can guarantee you that you won’t be ready for what comes after it. And your just pissed off because your boyfriend over there is interested in me more than he is on you. I mean it’s not my fault I’m a triple threat. I mean I have beauty, brain and no STDs I’m a complete catch”

By now I see her eyes completely black and I know what’s coming next. I brace my self for impact when it never arrives.

“You lay one hand on her I will f*****g break you!” Lu said holding this sluts arm mid air.

“b***h STARTED IT!”

“WHO THE f**k YOU CALLING A b***h YOU CLAM CARRYING s**t!” I growled

“LET HER GO!” I hear a huge pissed off growl.

“Why should I?” Lu retorted

“I won’t repeat myself!” Vincenzo says taking a step forward pissed off

Fuck my life here we go. My beta and mate pissed off at each other.

“Look don’t be pissed off at us. She started it!” I told him which made him look at me and s**t did I regret it.

“Does it look like I care. You are all guests here so act like you have some common sense!”

“Don’t use that tone with her. It’s not her fault your girl can’t control neither her mouth nor her actions”

“I suggest you watch your words Lucas.”

“Or else what”

At this point I’m pinned between both of these hot heads with everyone gathered around us watching what’s going on. I need to think of something fast before it’s too late.

“Lu come on let’s go. Lu look at me let’s go. LUCAS!!!! I’m ok she’s not worth it and neither is he. Let’s go. I want to go home.” I say in a calm voice.

Lu nods his head as soon as he turns around he just had to say something didn’t he.

“Don’t ever cross this boarder again unless you want to end up dead!” Vincenzo spat with anger

“WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY. Do you honestly think I’m afraid of you. Your nothing but a pathetic imbecile, with a girlfriend who can’t control herself!”

Vincenzo’s eyes are completely black this point and walking towards Lu.I know that there for sure be blood shed if I don’t intervene.

“Look Pretty boy if you want to get to Lu you have to get threw me and I can guarantee you that you will be very disappointed at the end of that. So I suggest you get your CLAMS carrying STD girlfriend over there back to the hole where she keeps coming out from because that mouth of hers is going to get you in a lot of trouble pretty soon” I say poking his chest

“Did you just touch me! And who are you to disrespect me”

“ Would you like that answer in first, second or in third person. Better yet I’ll give you all three. Yes I did and me, myself and I.”

“Your right Chelsea she is a crazy stupid b***h!”

With those words I slapped Vincenzo in the face looked straight into his eyes and said “And your a pathetic excuse of a leader!” I knew that slap hurt him. My hand was stinging from the hit but he deserved it. But he wasn’t the only one hurting. Artemis is howling inside because of the way her mate treated her. We left before anyone else got hurt.

We walked it back to the trucks in complete silence. I was hurt by what he said. Iv always had to fight for my place among assholes like him but I never in a million years would I think that my own mate would treat me this way.

“I’m sorry guys. I didn’t mean to get into it with her but she was picking on Abby and then it escalated and and”

“Sunshine it’s ok it’s not your fault”

“I’m sorry Lu.”

“Hey princess AJ is right it’s not your fault plus she was a complete nut case”

“Well at least no one died” Mikey said playfully.

Not the way I wanted to end the summer but at least it ended it with a bang.
