The next morning was a very peaceful scene for both Hala and Ayan. It was a loving morning, the kind of morning that Hala had always dreamed of after a whole dreadful night. Everything just came to an end.
The air was filled with a gentle light, the light that went through the curtains making room glow in a soft shadows.
There were no more harsh words now and no more taunts haunting Hala. They never wanted to discuss what happened in the past.
The peace was their new friend.
The reality of their past arguments have vanished, replaced by a great sense of relief and a calm understanding.
Ayan was happy, and Hala was happier, their smiles were continuously ongoing and the both of them were reflecting the warmth that now filled their hearts.
They sat together on the balcony, the weather was extremely beautiful for a new start, little rain drops making the sound that sank to their hearts. They were sipping their morning tea, the silence between them no was longer awkward but comfortable, reflecting an unspoken bond they had finally formed.
"Do you remember the first time we met?" Ayan asked, his voice soft, a hint of nostalgia was there in his words.
Hala's heart was already filled with hope. But whenever they talked it was as if she was walking over the moon.
Hala smiled, her eyes were sparkling. "How could I forget? You spilled tea all over me."
Ayan chuckled, "haha right I was so nervous. I didn't know what to say."
"You still don't," Hala teased, she was nudging him playfully.
"Hey!" Ayan protested, but his eyes were full of sincerity. "But you know na that I've improved, haven't I?"
"A little," Hala conceded, her smile widening. "But Mr. you still have a long way to go."
They talked about their journey, the mistakes they had made before and also the lessons they had learned.
They spoke of their fears, their hopes, and their dreams, sharing a picture that had been missing for so long. They had solved their problems not through any dramatic gestures or grand talks, but through a series of small, heartfelt conversations, through their willingness to listen to each other to understand and to forgive.
Later that day, they decided to take a walk in the park.
The leaves were spread under their feet as they strolled along the their desired park hand in hand. The sunlight coming through the trees, creating patterns on the ground.
"I never thought we'd get here," Ayan said, his voice filled with emotion.
"Me neither," Hala replied, her voice thick with stranded tears. "But I'm so glad we did."
They reached a small bridge under there was a pond. They stopped, gazing at the water, the reflections of the trees and the sky was on the surface.
"Do you think we can stay like this?" Hala asked, her voice was not loud but somewhat sharp to be heard.
Ayan turned to her, taking her hands in his. "We have to," "and we are going to" he said, his eyes filled with determination. "We owe it to ourselves, to each other."
He pulled her closer, and promised of a future filled with love and understanding.
As the sun began to set, they returned home, their hearts full.
Now the home was something for Hala to be loved. Where she wants to return again and again. Filled with love, care and hope for the better future.
