Field

“Okay so why aren’t we heading out now?” I ask the girls as they drag me to the football field. “Because the boys are practicing.” Tina says in a duh tone as I roll my eyes at her. “Please can we just go out so I can go home.” I grumble. “No. We will go home after they practice and we eat.” She sits down on the bleachers. “They only have an hour left because they all don’t have a last class so they have enough time to practice.” “So I see the boys take a liking in you.” Paige smirks as I shrug. “Ehh it’s actually mostly Jamil. He’s actually really funny.” I tell her smiling. “Yeah Jamil is the clown of the group. Samuel is the hot head of the group and hates everyone except his friends of course, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile and he’s been at this school all four years actually that’s a lie but that’s another story, uh Travis is also a clown but he more of a realist. Reuben is the friendly one. He always makes people feel like their welcome.” “Ew. Honestly it’s already too many names that I have to remember.” I tell Tina as she was already rolling her eyes at me. “Just accept that you have friends you little weirdo.” Paige laughs. “Fine and what about Luke?” I ask as she rolls her eyes. “Luke is just an asshole. It’s honestly good that you butted heads with him earlier today.” Jamil says scaring us all as he smiles at us. “Hello flower, girls.” “Jamil.” Tina rolls her eyes as he smiles widely at her. “Tina, Toni, Tamera.” Jamil tsk her as she starts to glare at him. “I don’t understand your hatred for me when your should just forgive me.” “Please.” She rolls her eyes just as Reuben and Travis walks up behind Jamil smiling at us. “Are you guys going to finish practice or?” I ask them as they just smirk at me “We could. But coach isn’t too worried about is. He’s working on JV right now.” Luke says eyeing us. “Lucas can we be friends now?” I pout as his glaring eyes settle on my pouting face. He was completely unimpressed but I was sure to win him over as a friend. “No. You’re the annoying sister I’m glad I don’t have.” He tells me as I snort back a laugh. “Is that so?” I ask pulling at his hand as the glare never leaves his face but he reluctantly let me pull him closer to me. It’s so funny how gullible boys could be sometimes but it was also intriguing. “Id be a good damn sister to you.” “I could only imagine.” He smirks taking his hands out of mine. “I presume you aren’t an only child?” “No I’m not.” I tell him proudly making him laugh. “Stop talking to me for forever.” Tina growls at Jamil before storming off. “See and all I did was try and be nice to her.” Jamil grumbles sitting next to me. “Maybe you shouldn’t have done what you did, but we are here now aren’t we.” Erin says as he puts his arms up in surrender and I cover my nose quickly as I accidentally get a wiff or his stench. “Nobody will forgive you smelling like that.” I tell him as the boys laugh. “Oh how funny you are.” He says sarcastically standing up as the coach starts to angrily yelling at the boys. “That’s our cue.” Jamil says as the boys rush back down to the field. They added an another hour to their practice because of Jamil loli-gagging and most of the team was pissed at him but he looked as if he was unfazed. As well as Nathan. He looked so content with the extra hour of practice. — After the boys shower and leave the locker room we finally leave the school and head to a food place. For one I was glad because I was starving from not eating all day, and second off as long as it was inside, I was glad. Being in the head for almost two hours watching boys play kind of really drained my energy. “Oh I can’t wait to eat.” Jamil exclaims wrapping an arm around my shoulder making me laugh. “Maybe if you didn’t bullshit at practice we would’ve been eating already.” I tell him poking him chest as he smiles down at me. “Sorry when I saw you flower, I was rather excited.” He coos as I roll my eyes. “I’m not a child.” I grumble but I jump out of Jamil arms scaring him. “Sorry I have to make a phone call.” I quickly call my grandma making sure she’s okay with Adrian. She tells me I would have to come home soon so she can work and I’ll watch him for the rest of the night. Seems like that’s how it will be. I go school durning day and watch Adrian by night. I didn’t mind it, I was used to it. Also it gave me an excuse to be with him. “I’ll have to be home soon.” I tell the girls as they pout. “No stay longer.” Jamil whines hugging me. “No, I have to take care of Adrian while my grandmother works.” I tell him as he gives me a confused look. “Is He your child or something?” Samuel ask eyeing me as I smile softly. “You could say that.” I shrug winking at him. “Just kidding.” “I could give you a ride and the girls can enjoy their time.” He offers as I look at the girls and they all nod. “Thank you. That’s really kind of you.” I tell him as he nods and goes back to his normal glare. “Why do you get alone time with her.” Jamil whines as Samuel sets his glare on him. “Because you’re annoying and I have to head home as well.” He says standing up and ushering me to follow him as well. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” I wave at everyone and following Samuel to his car, well more like truck. He had those big trucks that construction workers use. It was a four door Toyota Tundra and it was a beautiful shiny black color. “I like your truck.” I tell him getting in. He grunts a thanks getting in the driver seat. I clip my seat belt on as he starts the car and I watch him drive. “Is there something you wanted to say?” He ask turning to smirk at me as I fell a blush form on my cheeks. “Oh uh n-no” I stutter out mentally slapping myself as he chuckles to himself but doesn’t comment. Maybe Samuel can be one of my besties too.
